Lower League stats |
|
I've just started a game with my local side St. Helens Town in the English North West Counties Premier Division. I'm predicted 18th so I'm guessing my side isn't good. But onto my question...
The lowest I've been so far is the Blue Square South with Eastleigh adn my team really should've walked the league so I don't have a great idea about what attributes my players really need. Can anyone help me out please? ------------------- Currently Playing Football Manager 2010- Managing Hartlepool 2012-13 St. Helens Town 2009-10

I find it easiest at that level to get a striker who can head, and a couple of decent crossers, and just work that way.
I've heard having a fast striker can work wonders, too. None of the players at that level are even half good, so any player with one or two decent stats is a real catch. ------------------- Hips like cinderella,

Physicals are very important in the lower league, because as wasteful as the player in question is, if they have the speed to pass players over and over again they're bound to hit the target eventually. Obviously this can be applied to midfielders and defenders as well, which appropriate tasks.

I'm managing a side below that league and have a striker with a finishing rating of 11 and he misses quite a few chances and a few of these are 1 on 1 as well.

In addition to those excellent pieces of advice I also find that its typically worth your time to have an excellent set piece taker. You can have a real advantage on your competition if you can regularly score from corners and free kicks.
And garthy, its a lot different than the older games...finishing is only one component, how are his composure, consistency and technique? ------------------- ![]()

atm I'm looking at Dax Hoogerwerf who has 13 finishing. Should be good enough for that league.
