Hey.
It's great to see some familiar faces in this forum such as Mike and Steve. It's been awhile. I just recently got this game, and it's been pushed to the back of the shelf as I play some other titles I bought along with it. But I will get around to playing it more thoroughly than just a quick ten minutes or so, and I'll be a regular around here. I look forward to all the great discussions we'll have. I'm not THAT new on DQ8 but has still much to learn (i just did the quest in the ICE CAVE in the north over ORKTUSK) i LOVE to chase slime's alover the world of DQ but only got three...  !!!!But i have found LOTS of them... hi im AirHazard and a rpg and forum enthusiast, this game owns but im used to final fastasy esque rpg's so this seems a bit short.
180ish hours of gameplay, playing through the second dragovian trial and starting to regret my choices of skill points at the start..... ill be quite active from now till whenever-im-done-with-DQ8 | |

the last gaming system i actually played was nintendo like 20 years ago. my 9 year old son got this game as a gift and now i'm completely obsessed. we play together ONLY...sometimes i'll catch him on it without me and i freak out. he wont let me pull up any info from about it from the web cause he says thats cheating. however...we are level 40, just beat evil marcello, the castle levitated and the screen went black like it does when you enter a town, or a new environment. it stayed black and the sound effects continued with wind.
 he says the game has a glich. what does that mean? | |

Hey Yunie, level up to at least 10 fighting slimes outside the first town b4 goin into the first dungeon, buy the best armor u can afford but dont worry about weapons yet (u'll see why soon)
The beginning is very difficult if not properly prepared/leveled | |
