i am taking a break from FFX because i beat it like 2000 times any tips on FFXII like how do you level up and where do you level up cause i don't wanna have to start the game over and don't spoil any of the story for me just give me tips ppl that really have the game thanks your help is apperciated its 4:08 where i live i am gonna start playing at PM thanks

Don't open chests. And sell your loot. Thats all I needed to know.

Open all chest except these and dont sell the serpent skin loot.

Do as pk_9584 said... if you open them chests, you have no chance of gettnig one of the most powerful weapons in the game. Spend lots of time leveling up, if you want to level up lots very early. Then search Dustia or Chaining Dustia on the Thread Index and theyrll be lots of hints and guides as to how to do this, and u level up FAST, i got from level 3 to level 13 in 20mins... im now on level 37 and not even an hour into the story (4 hours in gameplay)

I wouldn't worry too much about levelling up, I didn't at all until I was literally right at the end, and even without levelling the bosses were a piece of piss (bar one or two). Just don't run from battles, theres a place at the end of the game where you can level up ridiculously quickly (I went from about 50ish to about level 80 something in a couple of hours) and whatever you do don't open those chests mentioned earlier in the thread or tantrums will ensue later on! Don't worry about the hunts too much either, if ones too hard, just wait till later in the game when you're stronger and try again, they don't dissapear like I convinced myself they would!

You cant be more wrong. You can get lots of good items from chests. Like Megaelixirs. Even if some are useless, theres no point in not opening them.

Hey...Come to think of it. I never thought of using any of those. Even elixirs. When I run out of potions I consider them not being there. I guess your right but I lived without them.

I agree with UltimatehunterX. I never found a use for opening most chests except for the ones that have good weapons,armor, and accessories, like the ones in cerobi and great crystal

As far as tips. Focus your LP spending on the top lower left area mostly. These are augments that make you stronger, faster, have more HP, block better, better with magic, etc.

Only spend points on weapons, armor, spells, accessories, and skills when they're available to buy or found.

Learn you main healer/mage quickenings first so they have more MP to heal and cast with.

If you want to get your end game weapons without as much hastle, make a list of every ingredient that's needed and keep those as you play through the game. Buying all the grimoires early helps in this.

Once you beat the game does it let you replay the game over and continue with your original stats and etc like ffx-2?

Afraid not. It just takes you back to the regular screen with the two options: New game - Load Game

MegaElixirs are actually pretty good against bosses like Omega. I think they are quite usefull. I never really used it in regular battles but they are great back-up.
