I recently started playing FFXII again, picking up on a game that I left a while ago. I've beaten the game before, and my interest now is in obtaining all Espers, finishing all the hunts, finding all the rare game, completing the bestiary, obtaining all the weapons, filling the Sky Pirates Den, etc. Basically I want to get 100% completion.

Right now my characters are all at lvl 32, and I don't really feel like grinding it out for hours on end to level up to maximum. I've heard of the Dustia trick, but I think my level is too high already to make it worthwhile. I know about the Negalmuur trick, but I'm not sure what a safe level to start that one is, and I know about the bats in Henne mines to go from 65 or so up to 99.

So basically, what's my best bet at this point for leveling up quickly? Am I high enough already to do the Negalmuur method or do I need to grind it out a bit more? Also, is Dustia still worthwhile at this point?

your allright as long as you can hit around 3k damage per hit.

In that case I'm not alright then, I have a couple that hit a little over 1000 but I average about 700-800 per hit.

I do still need to finish out the augments for everybody, maybe I'll do a bit of work on Dustia today and get those done then I'll see where I'm at.

what you probaly need is better weapons. this is a passage from arthellinus' power walkthrough on gamefaqs.com

goldeneye86 first came up with the method to get the following:


Deathbringer
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stats: +90 1H sword, occasional KO on hit
Method: Steal from Ithuno - Barheim Passage, Special Op. Sector 5

In Special Op. Sector 5, which is west of the Gate Crystal, run past the
Silicon Tortoise and keep going until you see a rock on the right side of the
tracks. On the far side of that rock there will be a chest. If there are two
of them, the silver-looking one is Ithuno. If the silver chest is not there,
reload your game. Examine the silver chest to provoke Ithuno. Let it chase
you all the way back to the entrance of Special Op. Sector 5. At this point,
just keep stealing until you get a Deathbringer. If you need to heal, go back
one screen and heal before returning (Ithuno will still be there, like the
Lindbur Wolf). Don't move back two screens or you will reset the area. Once
you've obtained your Deathbringer, head back to the Gate Crystal and save
your game. Now quit and reload. Repeat the entire process if you want another
one. Rinse and repeat as many times as you like.


There is also some top-notch armor that you can obtain right now, but getting
it will require significantly more work. Thanks to goldeneye86 and

Any help for me? I cant beat the Imperial Judge because hes like RAWR U CANT HIT ME BECAUSE U DO 0 DAMAGE ON ME AND I AM SOMEHOWINVINCIBLE TO WARP MOTES AND YOU DONT HAVE A DARK MOTE BECAUSE U HAD TO USE IT ON JUDGE B!! So yeah... Most of my characters are level 13. I tried fighting a Sauran That was a fun adventure... My best guy has 500 some HP... Hahah... It hit up in the 1000s on every single one of my chars... Yeah, I died, so I didnt do that. Any ways I can level up fast? I will NEVER go back to the "Battery" Things. I hate them.

You should beat Zeromus and chain the Dark Lords, the best place for easy gil, but not much EXP though.
You can do the same thing in Nabreus Deadlands (Overlooking Eternity), but you won't make as much money there. Last is the bats in Henne Mines which is the best place for EXP and also better than Nabreus if you're looking for gil. I think the room where you fight Zeromus is the best place if you need money and as I see it money is more important than EXP, you will find that out soon enough.

I think you need to level up a bit more to beat Zeromus since he's a little difficult, you could maybe start the Negalmuur loop now. Here is a couple of youtube vids,

you should chain dustia. you'll get good exp and enough lp to buy some hp augments and other upgrades.

Dustia? WTF IS THAT?

I want to level up in the henne mines but when i enter from the feywood the two exits are blocked and there are only 3 bats. How do i unblock these exits?

Collect 10 espers and finish the Mindflayer hunt. Then talk to Geomancer Yugelu in Jahara, and he'll unlock the door in Ore Separation part of Henne Mines, granting you access further. The two carts you speak of can only be removed once you defeat an esper hidden deep inside the mines.

Well after a couple of Negalmuur runs and about 14,000 dead Ghasts I have all my guys up to level 75ish with way more LP than I could ever use. Next I'll start collecting the espers so I can get to the bats in the Henne mines and go the rest of the way to level 99
