I have a PS3 and the most common game I play on it is the System Update game.

It will be a great system maybe in a couple of years, until FFXIII though it is (not collecting dust) under an Irish linen napkin.

I have an internet business which allows me to stay home and play/work/sleep as I choose. To heck with the 70 hour per week grind I was doing before, better to live on less money and use the video game systems I've had for how long??

So nice to see people still playing this game and on the PS@ also. I meet many people all the time who call themselves die-hard gamers and when I ask them what they're playing (expecting Halo 3 or some such), they tell me how excited they are to have just bought a PS2. Many folks spend years on NES and are just finishing up their PS 1 games.

I'm still playing FFVII, but on the PS2.

Don't want FFXII to end...I feel I'm just appreciating the intricacies of the armor/accessories now after level 70s. I've admired the 122333 strategies.

Point being, I think all these hours into a game is not crazy, it's called getting your money's worth. What's GM's cost down to now, how much under a pence per hour?

You could call it an anti-proposal, since we're both anti-marriage. So I propose not to propose.

We could agree to a proposal, however, to send our retired televisions on a trip together via the QE II.

Other than my grown son who plays, I don't know anybody in my generation who does more than drinking for entertainment, as you aptly have observed. What fun it would be to have another gamer around within a couple of hundred miles.

I also have a job where I don't have to work, but don't tell my boss that. If only I could find a way to hide my PS2 in my office somewhere... I'd be posting video walkthroughs too!

GM, what do you mean by compile sudoku?

Whatever that means, you might be able to help me. I only like difficult ones.

Awhile back the LA Times had a great puzzle one day per week which was difficult. But, the puzzlemaster up and died a year ago and it hasn't been the same since.

I think Balthier probably appeals to cynics whom, if you scratch them, hide an idealist within.

Surprised me how the reviewers of the game consistently missed that Balthier was a judge...and this is one of the most subversive stories of the game. How someone so "in the system" actually opted out...

LOL on the casting Haste. That's the best one.

This game hasn't affected my brain except in dreams.

The worst was Mass Effect. In that game you have a tank to drive called the mako. It pretty much could drive over any terrain. Our landscape here is fairly bluff-y with large rock bluffs that actually resembled some areas in the game. When driving my car my brain would space out seeing those bluffs and I felt I was in the mako heading up and over them. Had to snap out of it to keep my car on the road.
