I just reached eruyt village in my perfect game and while I was going out I thought..why are there no male viera?
It would not make sense if they were asexual so I thought They Might not be any males and they could only reproduce with humans or something.

and in any case, if they are mentioned in FF XII please tell me.

Haha...I actually remember this discussion coming up over the years. As far as I can tell, there are no mention of any male Viera, but a few of the theories that I have heard before are

1) Viera kidnap males of other races to mate with them, then discard them or kill them or nothing.

2) Viera are made of wood, magick, other stuff.

Lol...all in all, theres really no answer, but its fun to guess eh.

lol i could also believe that first theory. i'd like to see Fran do that to Basch.. he seems manly nuff heh.

All i know is that with the type of armor the viera wear, it would be VERY Unsightly if a male viera were around... (Unless you were a female playing FFXII)

Well since you only see female Viera wearing the armor, Im sure it was designed just for them.

oh yeah, Viera are a hot bunch of warrior females! every time i go into Eruyt, i do get up close and personal coz their attire is quite awesome. i think Vaan loves me for this.

plus with bunny ears, they have one up on Amazonians hehe.

the elder wyrm yuu face just after yuu get lente's tear,its carcass was invested by the wood and majick and stuff right, maybe thats what happened to the veira,

or they could be ageless, born at the start of time or something and just ben there since.

The Viera are a purely Female race, it mentions that in the little instruction booklet for the game in the case. I would say A_R's theory is pretty accurate, but I would imagine they let the males live, rather than kill them.

I could have sworn one of the Viera said "We are the children of the Wood" or something like that. I would think they are made of magicks and stuff, which would leave them no point in having "naughty" parts, lol.

"The Viera ) are a rabbit-like race that can live three times as long as a Hume (i.e. an average life expectancy of 198.36), and divided into two subraces: The light-skinned Veena and dark-skinned Rava. The Viera have rabbit or deer-like features, most notably their long ears. Their feet are shaped in such a way that in order to stand they must wear high heels. Their slender forms heighten their senses and speed, and although their defense is low, Viera agility and finesse are unmatched by the other races. Viera can listen to the surrounding nature and sense Mist, and can sometimes go berserk from feeling an overwhelmingly vast quantity of active Mist. In Final Fantasy XII, they live in hidden villages deep within the vast forests of Ivalice. The Viera believe themselves to be intimately tied to the "Wood", a part of the forests themselves, and are rarely involved in matters outside the wood.
