What you should not sell is; Gyshal Greens, Teleport Stones and the Snakeskin you earn from the basilisk hunt in the bhujerba mines. Also the temporary items you carry to and fro in the Injured Traveler sidequest in the village next to the river in the estersand. ![]() -------------------

pretty much any item you get from a hunt reward, unless you know it's something common. because most of the time it will be at the very least something rare like a high arcana or even something unique that you'll never be able to get again.
best to play it safe and hold on to anything until you know what it is. ------------------- Swing that bottle

True that items like Teleport Stones are important to keep, they can be sold if you are in no position to do any teleporting for awhile if there is something you need and dont feel like gil hunting for it.
HOWEVER, in order to collect some of the best and most powerful items as early as possible, there are several items that must be kept until you aquire the exact amount for said item. Examples: Tourensol: x3 Gemsteel, x3 Empyreal Soul, & x3 Serpentarius Tourensol is the 2nd best 2 handed sword in FF12, and handy against the superbosses and Elite Marks. This weapon, along with others such as Excalibur, Zodiac Spear, Masamune, etc. are the best in the game, and MUST be collected if any hope is to be had for facing off against Yiazmat and others. High Arcana: The High Arcana is an loot item that, when combined with others, can lead to powerful items OR to more important loot that is used to the best weapons. All High Arcana is recommended to be kept until used at the PRECISE right time. Otherwise, they become useless and a PAIN to find outside the normal means. Dark Matter: x3 Grimoire Togail, x3 Grimoire Aidhead, & x1 Bat Wing Dark Matter has been and still remains, one of the best collected items in the FF series. This item, working like motes, does some hellish damage to anything, and is recommeded to be had while taking on the biggest bosses. Ultima Blade: x2 Adamantite, x2 Death Powder, & x1Gnoma Halcyon Though Ultima Blade, compared to its previous incarnations, and compared to weapons such as Tourensol, Zodiac Spear, etc. is not much to look at, it still remains a useful 2 handed sword with relatively easy to find loot items, high attack power, avaliablity early on in the game, and being pretty cheap from the bazaar. Of all these items and others, remember, you have to have all the loot items needed to unlock the weapon IN ONE SITTING. Meaning you cant just sell half of the loot recipe, go out, find the rest, sell it, and expect it to still be avaliable. It doesnt work that way. You have to have all required loot for the recipe and sell it all in ONE shot. Otherwise you are wasting time. Hope this helps, and email me if you need other bazaar recipes or anything else.

I think you can sell the recipes part by part. Thats how I got the Canopic Jar to show up. (but i havent bought it yet) I remember selling the ++Horakhty's Flame++ all by itself. I had sold the Phobos Glaze and others earlier.
Also, do I need to buy the Canopic Jar immediately? I says it turns all drops to Arcana.

I've noticed a couple of things about good loot that can be used for items; Things you want to keep sell for highest, and DO NOT, repeat DO NOT sell your high arcana you get.
And Carloaccount; It doesn't turn all drops, but most you can get it. You can sell it part by part, but it also gives a chance of messing up a recipe by using an item or two for pre-existing items. I don't think it is worth it until you sell it all at once, so the game knows that you want that item. ------------------- ![]() http://askthefurryone.com/main/ For all your FPS gaming needs, visit ATFO and sign up TODAY!

carlo, the canopic jar doesn't turn your drops into arcana, it just means that fallen enemies can drop arcana as well.
and casey makes a good point about waiting to sell your loot all at the same time. while it is possible to do it piece by piece over time with some items, like the canopic jar, it isn't possible to get something specific you may want if that item shares loot ingredients with something else. the ingredients for the canopic jar are unique to just the canopic jar so it isn't possible to get anything else. also, you can manipulate how you sell items in order to minimize the total amount of ingredients to create bazaar items, so it pays to wait. for example: if bazaar item X needs 2 each of items A, B, and C and item Y needs 2 each of items C, D, and E if you do it all at once, you can sell simply 2 each of A through E to get both X and Y. you won't need to sell 4 of item C to get both items. ------------------- Swing that bottle

Well some advice is if you got under 10 of a certain loot, well then don't sell it. These are probably rares loots that you will need to unlock stuff from the bazaar with.
Any loots that you have more than 10 of, you can simply sell since those loots are probably easier to get hold of again. Its that simple. XD
