The Footrace Endurance Run [ SPOILERS ] |
|
WARNING: if you haven't got to the point in the storyline prior to the final straight, you have to turn back. NOW. As you all folks know, Rikken's footraces over at Balfonheim can be a real hassle. Not only are they quite hard, but they require some excruciating button-tapping only matched by Resident Evil 4 (take note: the boulder evasion sequences.). I wasn't interested by his races at first - the first time I wanted a run was only because I wanted to talk about the Pylraster bill. As relatively short as it is (from the start of Saccio Lane to the start of Quayside Court), it was surprisingly hard. And what did I got? A very tired arm, FYI. Well, at the end of what was the prelude of the button-mashing inferno that Rikken's races are, when he handed over the reward, my only expresion was "WTF? Only a shitty Potion? Going thru all that hell just for a crappy Potion?". So, seeing how Rikken's races = God of War II on Titan, I just wonder, has anybody tried to win all races at once, all the way to Tier 100? I did. I needed to massage my arm every now and then and rub alcohol on my sweaty palm. ![]() ------------------- | |

I only did that on one of my playthroughs. Can't be bothered to do it again. Surely, it's nowhere near as hard as the footracing of FFIX though.
