Namco revealed new details on their GameBoy Advance title Tales of the World: Summoner's Lineage, the latest installment of their Tales of ~ series. This time the game becomes a simulation RPG, with two main characters, one is a 15 year old boy named Fulein Lester, a student of the magic school. The other is a tiny female android named Macaron, which Fulein Lester carries around on his arm. The battles are in the format of 3 VS 3, you can also use summon magic in the battles.
(Updated) The story takes place in the same world as in Tales of Phantasia. In this game Fulein is conducting a research on the art of summons, and his quest is to collect the summoner's rings around the world. In his adventure, he must recruit monsters in to summon units, and train them to battle the enemies. Up to 3 monsters can battle at the same time. The monsters can raise their levels by consuming items left by defeated monsters, and they can also change their job classes by meeting specific requirements. Here are some new images of Namco's GBA simulation RPG Tales of the World: Summoner's Lineage, the game is scheduled to release in Japan on March 7, for 4800 yen. Two new characters are revealed. First is a cat girl whose job class is a monk, her parents were killed by the evil army. The second one is a wizard, the younger twin brother of the cat girl, his mind was shut from the shock of witnessing his parent's death.

Namco has released new information regarding its fantasy simulation RPG Tales of the World: Summoner's Lineage for the GameBoy Advance. The game takes place in the year 4765 according to the Calendar of Aselia. The game's protagonist, 15-year old summoner Fulein K. Lester, a descendant of Kles F. Refter (of Tales of Phantasia fame) is embarking on an adventerous search for the Summoner's Ring. On his quest, he will be joined by the artifical life form Macaron, Belga Montool, a 13-year old orphan whose parents were murdered by the forces of evil and her older brother Bolga who has been in a shock-like state since he had to witness the murder of his parents. Players can choose between two modes: The heroic and the duel mode. The former is your standard story mode, while the latter allows two players to take on each other, or a single player to compete with CPU opponents.

If anyone's interested....
The gameplay system of this game is so much like Namco's Pocket King (GBC) that it can be called an indirect-sequel. You can go to the official PK website or this if that doesn't make sense. It's a good game to play if you want a preview. Nice, here is some direct info:
Namco announced two new characters, and a handful of cameos, for its upcoming Game Boy Advance title Tales of the World: Summoner's Lineage. One of these new characters is Mark Ginihle, a wandering warrior who is searching for the adversaries of his family. Mark is formidable with his two sharp swords, but he tends to come off as effeminate. The other character is Xex, an artificial life form, like Macaroon, except that he was born of dark science at the hands of a demon researcher in the government science facility in Euclid. In addition, Klarth Lester from the original Tales of Phantasia has been added to the cast. Since Fulein, the main character of Summoner's Lineage, is his descendant, time travel may factor into the game's story. Arche, Cless, and Mint are also due to make an appearance in the game. Tales of the World: Summoner's Lineage will be out in Japan sometime this spring, but there has been no word of a North American release to date.
