I'm not sure I like Jack being exposed to the weapon. There are only two ways it can play out, one is that he ends up not being infected -- which is just kind of lame. The other option is that he is infected. If he is, the story is a bit too much like George Mason in Season 2 for me. Plus, there's been plenty of times where Jack compromises his life for no apparent reason for his country -- so having him do something heroic because he'll die anyway doesn't seem to ring true.

Nice to see continuity from Day 3 with the same CDC chick analysing Jack's infection as was in Day 3 during the undercover operation. I wasn't expecting Jack to be infected but it makes sense, as it sets up a "will he die now before we reach Day 8" cliffhanger, which ties in beautifully with Kim's expected return before the end of the Day. Renee looked heartbroken when Moss told her Jack was exposed to the bioweapon.
Seaton turning against Hodges was another cute twist, although I was suspicious of him from the outset due to what Hodges said to him outside when the bioweapon was being unloaded. The whole thing looked like a giant ruse designed to gain Tony's trust and learn what he knew and it was hard to believe at any point that Seaton was actually trying to break out. Back at Casa Taylor, Tim Woods looked slightly shocked that Olivia has joined the administration and she returned a mutual strange look at him, suggesting history with them. Still not convinced Woods is dirty? All the hallmark signs are now there, it's just a matter of time for the reveal. The Starkwood strike discussion was a bit long and drawn out, giving the impression that they were hard up for material to fill out the hour. Moss denying Bauer the opportunity to go with the Starkwood strike team was terrible. The military flying into Starkwood was pretty cool, I read about it earlier this year when they were filming it with real Marines. Reusing hashed parts of Sean Callery's "Jack Storms The Gas Plant" wasn't so cool though, as that was a *bleep*ing brilliant ender in Season 5 that should never have been mimicked. As expected, Seaton played his hand and revealed that he'd set Almeida up to buy Hodges more time so the bioweapon prep could be completed. Nice hour, just felt a little lacklustre. Something tells me however that even if Bauer has Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, he's far from staying confined to an FBI field office. He already looked to be chomping at the bit in his final scene. ------------------- Kiefer Sutherland on ending 24: "I see Jack as a really human figure and there is something innately tragic about people. What happened to the story being leaked by the president's daughter? Why is she getting the Chief of Staff gig? It's only been an hour! That guy that resigned should still be there and be vindicated.

It was a good episode. A tad slower-paced that previous episodes with a good bit less action, but I was still really into it.
I actually didn't even remember Dr Macer from season 3, although, to be fair, I haven't watched that season in quite a while. Nice to have her back, especially following such a long break from the show. I actually bought into Seaton genuinely wanting to help out Hodges, but I should have been suspicious after the two were chatting earlier that night in earshot of Tony. I was hoping for Tony to punch that weasel across his face, but oh well. Really emotional stuff when Jack asked to go on the mission and was turned down. He knew he wasn't fit to go, and Moss even felt bad for saying no. Then jack walking away all down and out; Good stuff. Dont know what they'll do with Jack though. It would be beyond stupid for them to say at the end "Hey Jack we magically developed a cure for an uncureable infection", so I'm curious as to what will happen. Olivia is still a bitch. quote KudurosAs will I. -------------------

You're not really missing anything. I didn't click the spoilar, but if its just from the preview then I'm assuming you two laready know whats in it.
I really liked this week's episode. At least more than last weeks. Alot more Tony, new takes on Jack -- and his scars were just too badass. And Renee just gets better and better with every episode. I'm really glad that these characters get another season to breathe. Also, Larry MOss is growing on me too finally. I think he's starting to remind me of Chapelle alot, which is good. ------------------- ![]() TRISTAN ASHE

I've no idea what's being discussed. I took the same vow as DMD took at the start of the Day and don't watch the weekly trailers, which heightens the enjoyment of every new hour as it means I can savour every incident and have no possible idea of what is going to happen sans my own imagination.
Speaking of which, I've been thinking all week about the events of the last hour and I reckon this Day is going to close out on Jack being told that as he was only exposed for a short time, he didn't get the altered strain of the bioweapon's payload but he is unfortunately terminally ill with no prediction on when he may die. It would fit in with Day 8 being the last we'll ever see of the man and the legend, unless the long talked about cinema outing ever gets off the ground. ------------------- Kiefer Sutherland on ending 24: "I see Jack as a really human figure and there is something innately tragic about people. That's definitely what I thought as well... I think it'll make a good "story-telling" tactic in Day 8... he may become more and more irrational due to the effects of the WMD. I don't think they're going to play on it much this season (well the 6 or so episodes that are left). Would make a far better side-story for Day 8.

Just so you guys know the spoiler isn't that major and their replies to it were more jokingly than actually discussing anything epic.
So don't feel like your missing out on too much. Oh, and I did buy into Seaton genuinely wanting to help Tony. I mean of course the purposely played him out so you would think that, but when he shot his own colleague I really thought he was legit. I did think they got back up to Seaton's office a little too easy but I figured it was one of those writer's moments where it isn't 100% realistic. Similar to when Juma got into the White House without much difficulty... but yeahh ------------------- you're so gangsta i'm so thug
