Whilst some of these overlap I have played a number of seasons in different leagues and my squad is pretty much perfect in my eyes now, it got to the point where I virtually never had a draw because after a few seasons my team were that good. I play 442, attacking and pressing with no counter attack.

I know these players are the real cream of the crop and very expensive but they are worth their salt. I have tried many expensive players and these guys really are very very good.

Best players in each department though, Ferdinand, Deisler and Ronaldo.

Talor from Arsenal.Young and improves a lot

Puyol from Deportivo.Experienced,good tackeler and has a great header
Royal from Coventry.Young and cheap wages.only 9000.

Fb
Risse from Liverpool.Quite experienced but its well worth it.Score a lot of free kicks.
Finnan from Fulham.Young and very concistent.But picky bout his club.

Mf
Gronkyear from Chelsea.Improves alot and is great corner and playmaker.
Youds from Westham.Young and great times.Very inconcistent.
Appiah from Brecia.Has a great shot and is cheep.
Kilbane from Sunderland.Is a good left winger.Good playmaker and plays well in centre midfield.

Cf
Lee Hughes from West Bromwich.Scores a lot of goals.He scores about 3 a game.Best in Italian leagues.Gets alot of injuries.
Brett Ormerod from Sunderland.Scores again a lot of goals.He costs 2.5 becomes 8.7 in 1 season.
Steth Nemeth from Middlesbrought.Plays well with Ormoerod.Is terrible in 4-4-3.
Johanssen from Charlton.He is very experienced.Has a good shot.

ive discovered these players on lma manager 2003 and they have been the best i have found.

GK

Casilias (R Madrid) - This is a good keeper to start off with, he is fairly cheap and will keep the goals out.
Buffon (Juventus) - this should be a backup keeper. Make sure you play him now and again though.

These are young cheap and good.

DF
Belezoyorov - I found this player only a while ago, he is only 17 and he is brilliant. I play him quite a bit.
M.Laursen - This is a good buy. Of all the times ive picked him, he has hardly ever had an injury or suspension.
F.Lucio - He may not seem much when you first see him but he can play well in the right position.
L. Thuram (Juventus)- He may be getting on a bit but he will serve you for another good few years.
Alpay (Aston Villa)- This seems an unlikly choice but Alpay is one of my best defenders.
G Barry (Aston Villa?)- I havent played Barry that much but he always does play well. Keep him as backup.
R Carlos (R Madrid)- No suprises here, i buy him for the same reason as Thuram (see above) You do need a couple of experienced players in defence.
A Nesta/R Ferdinand - I dont think these are avaliable on the first season because of new contracts but im not sure. If they are avaliable, get them.

These are the best defenders i have found in the game, i have had no trouble with them

MF

S.Deisler - Yes he may be german, yes we hate the germans but not this one. He plays smoothly in midfield and feeds the strikers well.
K Dyer (Newcastle) - He does have a tendancy to get injured but you can solve this by not playing him too much.
D Beckham (Man U) - Amazing is the only word to describe him. It seems like you cannot lose with beckham on your side
Joaquin - This is Beckhams rival. Swap them around every few matches.
T Rosisky - Good player. I dont know too much about him though.
D Duff (Blackburn) - Mr Duff can play well if you have everything right for him. I suggest putting him out on loan for a season.
Karadeniz (Turkish Club) - Excellant buy, he is 22 and plays like an experienced player.
Totti - He is not a MUST BUY but he is good in the centre. Its your choice
Sergio - He is always good to play now and again.

ST

This attack is very expensive Ronaldhino and Cassano together clock up around 110 million for the pair but they are worth it.

Ronaldo (Real Madrid) - I dont play Ronaldo That Much but when he does play he gives it his all.
Ronaldhino (Paris St Germain - The 60 million you paid for this guy shows. He is garenteed to score a fair few goals.
Cassano (AS Roma) - Probably the best buy in the game. He is the best attacker i have. If he is paired up with a weaker attacker he will score 3 a game. One of my mates recommended him to me.
Aimar - Young and good, he always has a first team place. I only found him a while ago so this is my first impression of him.
J Saviola - He should always be on the sub bench whoever you are playing. He will always try to change the game around in the last 20 mins.

This squad may cost you a fair bit but believe me, its worth it. Once you have built up a team like this you must swap them around for each match but always play your best team for important matches. Use the friendlys, they will get your team into shape for the season.

Rufete(valencia) great, scores loads
Joaquin(Real Betis) Cover for Joaquin

Strikers: Aimar (valencia)goes up to £40 million in 1 year
Alves (Hertha Berlin) great with Aimar
Saha(fulham)scores loads
Kezman(psv)goes up 2 £25 million and always scores
Diego Alonso (valencia) loan him out for 2 seasons, he scores laods, then play him with aimar, and they scre about 70 (combined) each season for 3 years (this has happened 3 times for me)

magnificent butchering of the English language.

Here's my AC Milan team that lost in a penalty shoot-out in the Champions League Final to Inter Milan and lost out to Inter Milan in Serie A by one point, the worst thing was, I had a significantly better team and were so unlucky in all of our results, we always had 70% possession and drew/lost. The good thing is that I have £80 million to spend next year on amazing players! We'll get our revenge next year! Anyway, my awesome first season team:
