How about a Blue Cannon. It can be opperated my infantry and hit units will lose all their fuel and ammo.

Motorbike infantry that can move more squares then normal infantry but cant move cross mountains

it would be cool if advance wars 3 comes out, a suggestion would be if they had a heavy tank, they have a light tank and a med. tank why not a heavy one? also if units like diggers could dig underground mines and also dig trenchs, this would be lik ww1. also a demolitions man would be cool to see as well.

Theses are som units I think the game really needs:

AirCraft Carrier: when built automaticly comes with a fighter Jet. Cost:$32000

Scout Jet: Has very good vision in fog of war, weak in attacking and defence.Cost:$6000

Nuclear Bomber: Drops nukes on units and has a damage radius of 2 and destroy literally any unit on the ground. Cost:$35000

Light Tank: Strong against infantry, Recons and Artilllery, weak against other ground units. Cost:$6000

Grenade Soilder: Throws a granade with a rang of 2 spaces, great on tanks and infantry, weakness: Air and Sea units. Cost:$6000

sniper is really the only unit likely to appear in aw3. should it be made. and i think you should be able to demolish cities aswell as capture them

How bout this for nuw units for AW3

Transport Plane
has a range of 9 squares and can carry two units of any type (could add a real punch too any assault when you drop neotanks or rocket BEHIND enemy lines, id say the cost would be around 18,000g

Heavy Tank
a sort of step between md tank and neo tank, more powerfull than md, but less than neo. should make a usefull stop-gap until u could build neo's. cost should be also 18,000g

mortar infantry
sorta like a mech but with the range of an artillery (could be very usefull for grit) kinda like nightstalker's grenade soldier but a bit more powerfull, cost about 7000g

(p.s, by the way nightstalker, i like ur ideas apart from the nuclear bomber and the aircraft carrier, Aw already has an aircraft carrier of sorts in the cruiser which can carry two attack copters, although its a nice idea,but how could it ever work in AW (besides you said it only came with fighter jets, not bombers so its kinda useless for ground attacks) and as for the nuclear bomber, what the heck were you thinking?!? is this some kind of kill all unit that the comp could never hope too beat?!? if AW or AW2 ever had that kinda unit then u could finish the game in three seconds flat, which would take out the challenge and make the game BORING!!!!!...sorry for venting my spleen at you but come on... nuclear bomber??? welcome to the land of sprites and faries... lalalalala...)

Sniper
Can kill of serioslly injure infantry in one shot, weak against any vehicle units. Has the range of artillery. cost around 7000g

and now for my only new building...

Missle center (would have just called it a missle silo, but thats all ready taken)
just like a missle silo - exept it has to be captured like a city and after that you can continually use it (like a factory, you buy the unit, or in this case missle and use it the day after) like the silo, you can fire anywhere but the damage area is a square smaller, but still causes 3 points of damage. I havent decided the full price of these missles yet but they should be somewhere around 5000 to 10,000 in price

So ive said what i hav 2 say, redicule me at will....

+CO (thought of this one before AW2) maybe some kind of speed freak CO, like a big fat biker guy.
All non infantry units receive a +1 to movement,
but have about 90% strength (they are poorly maintained because they're always on the move).
Power: Adds additional +1 to movement.
Super Power: Something like Eagle's original CO power, in that they can move twice but they receive an additional power decrease after it's used. Also adds an additional +1 to movement.
Since this guy doesn't really fit with any army, he might be some kind of mercenary that jumps in to help occasionally.
+Subs should have small deck machine guns, APCs usually have small guns too
+Cruisers use depth charges a/o to made-up missiles against subs
+Cargo plane: can carry 1 or 2 infantry units, but can drop them anywhere in its path as long as it moved over that space this turn (they parachute down, plane doesnt stop)
+you guys seriously need to rethink the whole indirect range thing; one space in this game is maybe 5 miles by 5. Grenadiers throwing grenades 15 miles is not the most realistic idea.
+Snipers: sadly, I doubt they could make snipers work right in this game. I would love to see them appear, but it just won't happen.
+Scout plane and scout boat: whoever mentioned these, great ideas.
+As for the suggestion that "there are small tanks and medium tanks, why not heavy tanks," the word 'medium' refers to the fact that they are the 'main' tank used in an army.
+BH vehicles should look less *bleep*ed (oooh, floating boxes!)
+Perhaps there could be missions such as protecting a VIP as previously mentioned, or protecting a bunch of trading ships.
+Cities could be bombed, but not destroyed. Damage could temporarily reduce funds given to owner
+Morale might be incorporated into the game, and could be set as an option in VS modein case some don't like it. With that could come an HQ group unit (infantry) that fights slightly less powerfully than infantry but give a morale bonus to those around them.
+Some way to have forests burn
+Pillbox/bunker terrain for infantry. Could be destructible by explosives, while mach. guns against it would only hurt the inf inside. Def: ****
+A supermegaultrakaboomertank that takes up 4X4 squares and can kill everything on the map in one turn. Cost: $10. Its machine gun could be used to level mountains or HQs. Its cannon can even destroy the little box at the top that shows how much money you have. Also functions as an indirect unit that can shoot out of your gameboy and kill things. I dunno, it might cost like $200.

hey, guys ive been outta the loop 4 a few days thinking up nuw things so here goes....

Flamthrower infantry
(i felt cruel when i invented this unit )
obviosly very nasty too anything without a tonne of armour or sunblock 8,000!!! cost hmmm.... 6000g

Patrol boat
A sort of scout boat than can travel up rivers, very light armour and as for weapons, a mounted version of a mech's machine gun and depth charges for subs. cost of around 9000

mecha infantry
(this is not me spelling mech infantry wrong, the explanation will follow....)
infantry inside small mechs (like the wolverine for anyone who ever played c&c tiberian sun) with machine guns as powerfull as recons and 3 short range rockets (like a normal mech infantry), it may sound the same - exept it has the move range of normal infantry and exeptionally better armour, at a cost. cost of these little buggers is about 8000g

and finally....

THE ULTRA MEGA DEATH DEALING BEHEMOTH OF A MACHINE THAT CAN NEVER DIE EVEN IF YOU NUKE-IT!!!!
(paying homage to everyoneone elses insane fantasies)
Takes up the ENTIRE SCREEN and automatically kills everything the moment it appears and levels the map to the stone age, then keeps going beyond you're gameboy and nukes the next door neighbours dog, and eats all of you're yogurts
,then it drinks all you're beer, leaves the toilet seat up-and it never flushes afterwards. After that happens it insults you're mother in law and leaves its toe-nail clippings in you're breakfast cereal, Its cost goes into the minus's area so when you buy it, it pays the money back too you (and in case you were wondering it costs 999,999g)

....and just in case you were wondering, yes i WAS being sarcastic!!!!!

Dudes what about Kamikaze Terrorist Infantry Assault Units. Woah that name is kinda long. Maybe just Terrorist Infantry...anyway, they could have blocks of C4 strapped to themselves, they would suicidally run into an enemy unit. They could have a blast range of a 5-square cross. You know like + or something. They would probably cost alot because of the blast range, 20,000 or so. I was just thinking that would be kinda cool. Im also thinkin snipers would work out great. I've said that before but i dont care. Land mines would probably be to much but its cool. Also Nuclear Stealth Bombers could work but theres no way you would be allowed to build them at an airport or anything. Like, in a mission would could be given one unit of Nuclear Stealth Bombers and you would have to bomb a enemy facility with that unit. If the unit got destroyed then you lose. Because theres no way that a NSB would be fair if you could build them. Yes I talk to much I'm sorry.

What I would really like to sea is any difference between the factions of Advance wars. Come to think about it there is no real differnce between blue moon and orange star so maybe each faction gets their own special unit or maybe even a building.

How about adding a veterancy level too units?? when they are originally built, they start green and as they work their way up (by destroying stuff) they get too higher levels like, veteran and elites (thus increasing damage dealt, decreasing damage taken and a possible 1 point of health regain a turn [for elites, that is])

And heres another unit i was playing around with....

Commando
Has a machine gun for infantry (very powerfull minigun style thingy) and a grenade launcher for vehicles (not really that powerfull, but good enough too deal some hurt too any tanks dum enough to get in its way) CANNOT CAPTURE CITIES but -- can reset them back too nutral status so nobody owns them (Obviosly, it would be dum too do it too your own citys, but can seriosly annoy people by removing thier funds from that city)

hmmm.... how about different types of terrain, like desert and snow just doesn't happen as weather, but in some maps its always on? as for new terrain types how about...

marshland
offers 2 stars of defence and slows down vehicle by one square (its a sort of mix between plains and forests, short shrubs and trees and such)

Are you nuts? You all know OS, BM, YC, and GE would never use a kamikazie unit! Only mental terrorists like Sturm would do that!

I agree with Mana. The kamikaze unit sounds pretty cool. But I also think only black whole would use them. In multiplayer anybody could use them though. Mostly though I just want to see more terrain types, although 2 or 3 new units would be cool.
