I got a new computer about a month ago, one of the first things I did was to install wc3 roc + tft. it went fine, until one day when I tried to start up it said:

"Warcraft III was unable to initialize DirectX. Please ensure you have DirectX 8.1 or newer installed and that your display drivers are current. DirectX may be found on your Warcraft III install CD under options"

after I press "ok" in the box it comes up with the:

"Please verify that your Frozen Throne disc is in you CD-ROM drive, then click on retry"

However if I click Try again, even tho I have the CD in my drive, it just keeps doing the same over and over.

so I installed the newest DirectX and the newest Driver for my ati radeon HD 3870. neither helped tho


So I really hope someone can help me, because I really dont wonna reinstall windows, and a warcraft3 reinstall didnt do the trick!

BTW, I'm using Windows vista Home premium.
