I used to play warcraft all the time a couple of years ago but my frozen throne cd cracked. Now i want to play it again. So my question is: Can I install reign of chaos using my friend's cd and cd key then buy frozen throne. Will the shared cd key of reign of chaos matter if neither of us play that, and we only play frozen throne.

you need your own wc3 roc key aswell to be able to play with your friends, even tho its TFT you play.. afaik

You could try contacting Blizzard and asking for a replacement CD and use your existing CD key (or use a new one if they give it to you). Else, I recommend you buy another copy of the games you want to play and use new CD keys. You cannot discuss CD key generators or crack tools on Neoseeker.

If your disc is cracked, but the jewel case is fine, do you have your CD key? You could install it with his disc using your key, and it will work fine- you don't need to keep the disc in anymore.

I'm not sure whether Frozen Throne checks your Reign of Chaos key when you connect to Battle.net- if it does, then you'd need an official one. If you did use your friends key, and it checks for it, then you can both play, just not at the same time. If you can find that Battle.net doesn't check your Reign of Chaos key, you two can use the same key without any problems, assuming you don't try and play online with Reign of Chaos. I'd ask someone who actually looks into Battle.net's mechanics.

If your goal is to play together, you can use a virtual LAN program such as Hamachi, it doesn't check CD keys at all, and isn't terribly hard to set up. That may be preferable to buying a new copy.
