Possible to make a Mage Ninja using Debris?

Is it possible to utilize a spell based ninja in single player mode?

Currently I'm trying it...and it is very hard. I've managed to get my Lv28 Ninja to the desert...where now I'm leveling faster...with 4-5 sandworms...I can use Debris effectively for crowd control. The problem is that I'm using a level 1 Debris...as the SP consumption is fairly high. I'm even using a Debris Scroll with -2SP consumption on it to lighten Debris' heavy SP consumption...so I'm only using 6SP per Lv1 Debris use...which still is quite a bit SP. I also use the full set ice gloves, ice hood, and ice robe for the +1SP regeneration effect. And boy did I ever do a lot of Ori and Mithril runs to get enough to make the set.

Mage Ninja, Lv28
My base stats: ()=stats with item boosters
Attk:24
Def:89
Vit:30
Str:21
Dex:19
Int:92
Health:90
SP:184 (204) Moon Pendant

Skill Pts:
Debris:Lv3
Replace:L6

**Also, what other skills would benefit for a mage ninja?**
-If I can get enough SP, I would use Speed...to move around quicker.
-If Shadow was cheaper on SP, and if it actually worked better...I think I would use it...but, seems to stink anyway you look at it.
-If critical actually worked with Debris that would be awesome...and it should have, imho...but, oh well.
-Backstab doesn't seem to work with Debris, which kind of makes sense...but, the objects are droping on the enemies heads, which is kind of like a behind attack.
-I really wanted to avoid Sword and Knife skills...plus my strength would be too low to use them effectively.

Any ideas, thoughts, opinions?...I realize this forum might be non-existent since there doesn't seem to be anybody around. Whatever.

re: Possible to make a Mage Ninja using Debris?

Yep, by about level 40+ the Mage Ninja starts to shine. I've got 370SP with my Mage Ninja...and use a level 3 Debris (uses 16SP/use) that does instant kills against many opponents...making leveling really easy. Its too bad the Ninja doesn't have Meditation skill to speed up the SP rate. On good note...maxed Replace skill is awesome for escaping trouble...it has a 75%chance of that wood thing kicking in so obtain invisibility (basically invincibility )...and if you get swarmed you walk right thru the baddies...no other character can do that...which makes a Mage Ninja work really well...in case he gets swarmed.

So its very possible to make a Mage Ninja...you just need a lot of patience and need to refill your SP pool a lot (especially in the beginning of the game). Try to put 4 points per level into INT...and once in awhile raise VIT by some points. I'm sitting at VIT:38, INT:158 at level 44...and it's working out just fine. Most of the time I just run around while charging Debris...so I rarely ever get hit. Plus the Ninja has the fastest base speed of all the characters...so it makes it easy to use traps (ieebris) and run.

-Sidenote:The Holy Fire Guardian in Normal Mode took like 6,000 damage from my Debris and Summon Soul before it perished...what the heck is up with that. I casted a level 3 Debris like 20 times. A charged level 3 Debris does anywhere from 230 dmg to 350 dmg on the Guardian...and my Prosperia II Summon did 800+ dmg (one time only). So, what's up with that?

-Another Sidenote:Since Debris's radius of attack increases with more skill levels it makes it easy to stay away from the enemies. I would imagine that a level 7 Debris charge could nail enemies on the edge of the screen...pretty cool.

**Is anybody around in this forum anymore?

re: Possible to make a Mage Ninja using Debris?

Here's what I have so far and it works great for leveling in Normal mode...and minor parts of Advance mode.

Mage Ninja, Lv81
My base stats: ()=stats with item boosters
Attk:42
Def:129
Vit:84
Str:36
Dex:21
Int:243 (263)
Health:252
SP:486 (526) Psychic Pendant, Debris Level4 of Pysche scroll

Skill Pts:
Debris:Lv5...could max it, but leave it at 5 just because I'm doing fine.
Replace:MASTER

*Wearing Frost Set gives a nice +2SP Regeneration
-Will be trying to get Blizzard Set eventually...once I get higher leveled ores.
*Wearing Psychic Pendant gives +1SP Regeneration, +8INT
*Hopefully I will be able to find a Lv7Debris Book with either +1SP Regeneration or -2SP per charge...as these will help SP consumption.
-I have no problem with SP in normal mode. In advance mode, I have no problem against bosses...as I can manage to beat them with lots of SP left over. Its just a lot of Advance mode enemies make me use my Lv4 Debris twice sometimes 3 times...which drains SP. SO, that's why I'm currently leveling in Normal mode with a Lv4 Debris...one hit kills are more efficient.

*Can do instant kills on all creatures at Beast Mountain in Normal mode...for REAAALLLLY QUICK Experience. It's way better than anything else leveling-wise.

So, go ahead and make a MAGE NINJA...its fun and easy once you get a big SP pool. Debris is doing 350-600 damage at a level 4 charge...NOT bad...not bad at all. Debris can be very powerful...doing multiple instant kills. Imagine there being 6-8 enemies on the screen...well, 6-8 debris objects fall on them...and if you instant kill before they reach you...that makes for quick leveling and a heck of an offense.

*The Ninja clone in the tower can't even hit me...cause I didn't take Sword/Knife skills...and I didn't put points in Dex...except when I found a Quicken Chicken (boost dex). Low dex Ninja pays off big time against the Ninja clone. :-)

*Also, since the Ninja has awesome speed...he can throw down a LV4-Master Debris and run away. If he does get swarmed he can escape using a MASTERED Replace skill.
-I don't even use the Speed skill...plus its just normally too complicated to combine it into my aresenal...I hate 1 minute buffers in this game...really stupid.

*All in all, I prefer playing the Ninja as a mage class compared to the other magic users...ie: Dk. Wiz, Sorc, and Priest. Different style of playing...and fun.

*Go and play a Mage Ninja, you won't regret it.

re: Possible to make a Mage Ninja using Debris?

I've gotten my Mage Ninja to level 88...and it is boring. I'm still actually leveling in Beast Mountain in Normal mode for quick EXP (1-hit mob kills are awesome)...but, leveling is just way too slow.
-I'd do my leveling in Advance mode...but, experience-wise its just not efficient...as it takes 2-3 Lv4 Debris charges to take out enemies...where as I can do 1-hit kills in Normal mode for quick experience.

Been putting extra points in VIT...so that I have a good Health Pool of 324...I will continue to raise INT (currently with equipment I've got ~574SP)...and will raise STR up to 45 so that I can wear Blizzard Set (gives +3SP Regen and +25ICR as bonus). Blizzard's Set gives great Def...so this ninja will be turning into a massive tank that can deal out 999damage to multiple enemies. I just hope I don't die of boredom before that time.

He can deal out major damage...especially in groups. A Lv4 Debris charge can deal out 400-650 damage.
-Funny thing, I haven't found a better scroll than what I listed from my previous post. (bummer) Oh well.

*Just wanted to make an update. The game is starting to get a little boring...but, its still somewhat captivating. Later.
