This next week's #1 & #2 should be dominated by Troy and Van Helsing. Which spot they debut on is your choice... go see Van Helsing!

Thanks bl3nd3r, for keeping the thread updated. Yahoo's being anal right now, so they didn't have the complete listing of this weekend's box office totals. I'm too lazy to go search elsewhere for the same info, so I'll simply update the thread later with the remaining info.

No surprise Van Helsing is #1, btw. Troy will be #1 next week, and Shrek 2 the week after, and The Day After Tomorrow after that, and Harry Potter 3 after that and so on...just the way Summer Blockbusters work. They have a strong debut, until the next weekend releases.

Van Helsing is going to crack $100M! I thought it would jus' die out after about $50M. Guess I was wrong... now if only Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind would've made that kind of $$.

Isn't Shr3k coming out this week? I'm seeing $75M+ for that this weekend.

I still update the subtext thingy every Monday night.

Oh wait, you want the actual statistics posted in the thread as well? Greedy bastards. -_-

I'll have the results shortly; it ain't an everyday occasion when we can laugh at the failure of Catwoman's box office debut

Me too! I'll try to keep this updated weekly as I do the DVD and Theatrical threads now. It'd have been nice to have all the #1's from the summer (which included Chronicles of Riddick, AVP, Spider-Man 2, HPatPOA) and a whole lot more but I was just too busy with either work or all the vacations I took to keep up on the thread. Oh well, use the links up at the top of the header to view those that didn't make the thread history.

For those curious, Finding Nemo made about 70.3 million on it's opening day weekend ... The Incredibles pulled in about 70.5 million (though some sites are claiming 70.7 million). Either way it still beat out Nemo and is on it's way to surpassing it's entire box office numbers.

Alfie It's the biggest flop of 2004. Jude Law sucks, and his box-office gross is proof enough. He's pulled in over $50M but that's spread out over 60 films.
