I've noticed a lot of people have been making duplicate threads lately and having them closed down. To help you guys out, I've created this simple 3 step process on Proper Movie Forum Etiquette:


Step One: Before making a new thread, check the thread index. This is made easier by just opening the page up, hitting ctrl+F, and searching for a word in the movie title.


Step Two: Check back in the forum all the way to September 2007. Right now, this is about 65 pages back. Saying you "checked back a few pages" isn't going to cut it. This process should take you about ten minutes, slowed down by the constant opening of "no way, we have a thread for that movie too?" threads.

If said thread is found, post in it and remember to finish said post with "TLA update thread index plz kthx."


Step Three: If nothing can be seen, congratulations! You are now free to make a new movie thread.



Follow these three simple steps, and you too could one day have an open thread in the movie forum.

It seems the site I linked to isn't loading. I can only assume that Eureka saw the webpage address and flooded the bandwidth, or whatever you call it.

To add to that list use the search feature at the bottom, if there's already thread it finds it about 50% of the time.

Look. I was being optimistic when I posted that comment to a trailer for Date Movie. I was hoping it would be good, not for my benefit but for my fanboyism of Buffy The Vampire Slayer having Alyson Hannigan starring in the film. The "2 out of 6 writers" tagline seemed "original" at the time. I was blinded by my love for pre-lesbo Willow. Honestly I was, but I came to my senses. I still have yet to force myself to watch the film.

And have I told you lately that I really, really... really, really really hate you P_L. In case I haven't, I really, really hate you P_L. I really do.

But it's so damn funny, come on, hahahahahaha.


Nah I'm just giving you shit. Obviously it was coming off the Scary Movies (although 3 was pretty crap) so people weren't yet aware of this string of bad spoof movies that we were about to be hit with. In hindsight it's hella funny though.

Somebody find me The Orphanage thread plz.
