Anyone watch that show "Fear Itself" on Thursdays? It's not bad. That's got a pretty sweet intro, albeit they could have picked a better voice over talent than what-I-assume-is the guy from System of a Down.

You live near a Best Buy (or Wal-mart and Target)?... Best Buy this week has a lot of their Tv show seasons on sale for 16.99. ALL 9 Seasons of X-files are 16.99 a piece, so that's roughly $160 you'd end up paying.

Unfortunately, the original digi-pak, fold out design cases are gone. They re-released all the seasons in the slim cases so you lose out on all the artwork, etc. But still, for almost half the price you found online, I'd go there. If not, take the ad into a Wal-mart or Target and have them price match them.

I'll go check out a Best Buy tomorrow.

Definitely get a rain check if they don't have them all in stock. Or the first seasons since I'm assuming you'll buy in order if not all 9 at once. The ad changes every Sunday, so most likely they wont be on sale next week.

I believe that my friend bought his for around $198.52 on ebay.

He watched all of them , then gave the collection to me as a birthday gift. At first I did not know about it, I kind of thought it was a little lame but I did love extraterrestrial and paranormal stuff, so I suppose that's why my friend gave me it. I watched the first episode- and was hooked like meth. Let me tell you Kirby, you should definitely pick up the collection man, it is awesome. It even has the first movie included in the collection, which I just watched last week, man the movie is *bleep*ing great. TBH, 300 is worth it Kirby, cause I honestly think anyone who has not seen X-Files is missing out, big time. Wish I could have seen it sooner. I just hope I get done with the series before the new movie comes out, cause if im not done I won't see it

I've always loved X-Files but the only time I ever get to watch it is at like 3:00 in the morning on TNT. I'm definitely gonna check out Best Buy tomorrow.

I picked up seasons 1-4 about a year ago now at about £15 a pop ($30, still a bargain, the average season's £35 still).

1-3 are gold but about half of 4 was interminable so I've never given 5-9 a chance, even if "agent doggett the terminator" is involved.

If you don't know whether or not you'll like the show, don't buy the entire series. Just get one season at a time.



And Fear Itself isn't that bad, come on. The episode with the vampires had some promise. All the episodes have some promise, actually, just that they're trying to cram a movie into a 42 minute slot... or in the case of that wedding episode, a 2 minute plot into a 42 minute slot. That episode had some real promise but they screwed it up.

Which pretty much sums up 95% of horror movies nowadays anyway.

I love the X-Files but I only see random episodes here and there.

Omg the wedding episode was just horrid. It was just the girl running around an empty church for half an hour. The vampire one and the adulterous husband one were good though.

The church one had some good promise to it. I think anyone familiar with horror films knew from about 5 minutes in that the letter was meant for the husband, not for her. But they could have ended it on some note of her not telling him, and then when the brother walks into the house, she axes him for trying to let out her secret. Instead it ends after 40 minutes of build up with:

Husband: "Whatever your secret it, you'll tell me when you're ready."
Wife: "Okay."
*END*

Worst way they could have ended that episode, easily.

I can't believe there are people that haven't seen X Files.

I personally cant keep track of all the seasons, but it definitely lost a bit of its luster after T-1000 took over for Mulder, but still, I enjoyed the show. Was rather creepy to watch when I was younger too.

The theme song is one of my favorite.

Does the Terminator guy really TAKE OVER for Mulder?!?! Thats gonna suck, I hope the episodes are still good. Im only on season 6 like I said, so please don't spoil. I hope that Mulder comes back though

And yeah Kirby the theme song is dope. I can play it on piano, haha.

I'd really like to sit down and watch all of the X-Files series, as I enjoyed some episodes when I was younger. But the place I rent from down the road doesn't have any of them...but they have stupid shit like Dukes of Hazzard and whatnot.
