Dude you're never too old to dress up for Halloween. It's a *bleep*ing blast; Get into a costume, go downtown, eye-*bleep* and pick up all the whore-ishly dressed women, and get wasted.

Sounds great.

And you were planning on doing this as Luigi?

I still play Mario Kart from time to time on the SNES. Love using Koopa Troopa.

Luigi? Well we know DMD wont be getting any action from the Princess on Halloween.

DMD, you once defended yourself staying home on a Saturday night, playing Lego Batman because you didn't want to go to any clubs and pick up all the whorish trash downtown. Just be upfront about it.. even at 24, you had a curfew and your mom wouldn't let you out of the house.

Even though Jack Black normally annoys me, the Brutal Legend demo was a blast. I'll definitely go after it once it drops in price. Plus, I love old school metal.

I can't seem to beat the lap time for London in the Need for Speed Shift demo to unlock that last car I thought I was racing the track well, but I keep finishing the second lap around 1:34 and not the 1:30 I need.

re: Cinema Lounge Something Eight

I mentioned NBA Street earlier, and while checking what discounts GameStop has made, apparently there's an NBA Street game on the 360 that's now just $10. I am currently reading the review on IGN and it actually sounds pretty damn fun. No demo of it on the 360 though Playing the NASCAR 09 demo since it's a better game than IGN said (the reviewer didn't like NASCAR and just whined about it). Apparently it's too easy, but there are ways to raise the AI difficulty. I guess that fool reviewer was playing on easy.

Too bad this is last year's game (EA dropped NASCAR), and Mark Martin isn't in the #5. The four playable drivers in the demo are the Hendricks racers, and Casey Mears is in the car Martin uses now.

Well, I am the mod for the game.

Sequels are difficult though, Celes. You would try to keep elements from the previous game that made it great, but then people complain about it being too similar to the original and wanting it for a cheaper price, etc.. Or you can make many changes such as in graphics and such, but then people will bitch about the style being too different from the original and it should be a side-game instead of a sequel. There's really no winning with sequels in the gaming industry.

re: Cinema Lounge Something Eight

Man I don't really think Left 4 Dead 2 was an example of any of them. It was just rushed and not much different. So far I can say of all the changes, the sounds (for pretty much everything) and the damage to zombies (so disembodiement etc) are absolutely superb. Otherwise, not much different. Melee weapons are a gimmick that are ultimately pretty useless on Expert for the amount you'll get hit with one. Changing pathways are nice but pretty pointless in the scheme of things, seeing as the alternative pathway will last about 10 seconds and is a few metres away. The variety of weapons is much more interesting. The camera position is absolutely retarded (why am I holding an UZI on my ear?). I can't see my legs. The interface, including pre-game menus (especially the temporary loading screen) and GUI all look horrendous. Dual pistols is awesome. Adrenaline works pretty well. Boomer Vile is just like a less useful version of the pipe bomb. Character design sucks in comparison to the original. There is apparently no more depth than the original despite promises, but obviously I can't judge on a demo. I don't remember what else.

It's not really a sequel, just Left 4 Dead Part 2.

Wouldn't that be Left 4 Dead 1.5, as "Part 2" would signify a sequel, that being what L4D2 is.

re: Cinema Lounge Something Eight

The 'depth' comes from the story, really. They campaigns are all linked together this time around, making it fluent. Let's not forget the different uncommon infected around, such as those in hazmat suits or as we've seen in the demo, the SWAT team infected which are harder to shoot and kill.

But yeah, it's a demo, can't make a final call until the full game is released. If they delay that like they did the demo...I will be pissed. With the boomer bile though, I'm pretty sure you can use it on the special infected as well. I haven't gotten a chance to trying it out yet, but I will, heh.

If you like, but I thought Left 4 Dead 1 Part 2 would be reasonable. I see a whole 2 as a new thing, moving on. Saying it's the second part of the first one suggests the first one wasn't complete. I personally think it should have been an expansion pack so far, but hey-ho.

The uncommon infected are pretty decent, only faced one so far though obviously. LOL at the fact Australians don't even get them though (along with corpses immediately disappear, no disembodiment, no burning, and some other crap).

Boomer Bile (I'm sure I meant vial earlier) can be thrown on other infected to make all of the current infected attack that singular infected. It's only real use is on Tanks and we've used it twice to apparently little effect. I'm not sure if damage by the infected on other infected changes with difficulty.

And Storm, I'm sure you've heard the big news that it looks very likely that the game is a port of the 360 one, right? I'm not playing it if it is :/

re: Cinema Lounge Something Eight

Hm, I haven't heard of that one, no. I mean I've seen gameplay videos of people playing the 360 version, and then the PC version, there's some slight enhancements and such.

But yeah, you did get it at an expansion price didn't you? xD Valve's nice like that, they bring out the deals to make things fair, even though they lose out on cash in the long run, especially all the work going into free DLC. But meh, no offense to 360 gamers, they shouldn't make games for consoles. Multi-platforms just lower the rate of the game overall, a prime example being the Smackdown series; THQ/Yukes just clinging onto the PS2 version after so many years of next-gen consoles being out. Making things as equal as possible at the cost of the individual console/PC's full potential.
