I finished playing the game after a few weeks, and I seem to be rather confused. I was trying to look up explainations of the plot and came across this site, and I'm not sure if it is still running to this day, since there are posts dating back to 2002. But I would be grateful if anyone could please explain to me why Reith looks nothing like the Queen, and why she actually looks like Serena! Cause the face, eyes, and hair colour match each other perfectly. She even has the same voice actor. Which I noticed right when Serena appeared. Why would the queen all of a sudden have a different voice than Reith. It doesn't make sense. And Calintz wouldn't so simply just be all like "Reith I love you!" and then go with her sister... that seems a bit odd. Which is why I guess the ending kinda confused me. Calintz and Serena end up together, but she is pretty much Reith, only the game says she's not.
So I was wondering if Serena really is Reith, and everyone was just trying to confuse poor Calintz. Cause the Queen kept her voice during her "absence" yet Serenas voice went into Reith. Or is there no Serena? was she just Reith, who is a part of the Queen's psyche? I was very confused by this. and was just wondering. Cause if Serena really is Reith, then the ending was very satisfying, however if she is not then I'm confused as to why Calintz forgot about Reith so quickly and moved onto her sister that seems a little harsh. But yes, so I was just wondering. I love this game with a passion, and hope to understand it! thank you for who ever helps! if there is still anyone XD

Reith and Serina are definitely two different persons.
And there are hints, that the Amila, who is shown in Epentar is not the "real" one.

There is a scene in Epentar, right after the first Pnosen Library visit, where Amila is walking around in the garden, when she sees the Phoenix.
She says "Did you come to play with me?" and she walks to the birds, but then the Phoenix flowly flies backwords and it flies away.
Amila says something like " Even you don't accept someone like me."

At the very begining of the game, at the ToB Headquarters, there is a girl ( at least I think it was a girl), who tells you, that not only the Four Warriors have Familiars, Amila also has one, a Phoenix.

If the Amila in Epentar were the real one, the Phoenix wouldn't have flied away from her.


As for walking away with Serina... I have no idea. It is a little strange though.

I was just confused as to why their voices were switched around tho. It was rather akward. Cause when ever they showed the queen she had that horrible manish voice, and then Reith had the cute voice, but then when she became Amilia then she got the manish voice from Serina back, and then Serina had the cute voice o.O it was like they lacked the voice actors or something XD but I guess that's okay.

I just wish he didn't end up with her, cause it is rather weird o.O like they didn't build up their relationship at all like they did with Reith. But I guess it could of been one of those rebound things XD cause he lost Reith ;_; but ya. Reith and Calintz were so meant to be. I don't think they shoulda added Serina >.< but I guess they wanted him to end up with someone in the end ^^:;

There was also a scene where Serina (when she was Amila) diguses herself as a blastworm. It showed Serina's face, putting the mask on a desk, then putting on the blast worm helmet. It also showed after with the scene against the boss battle with Carian Amila is wondering why Reith is with the humans. I noticed her eyes look different when she is Amila. With the mask on, it's obvious that it's Reith, without not so much. Reith and Serina were twins, maybe that confused you.
