re: Hot Rides: Custom Settings Showcase III

I'm new to this forum, so I haven't read much, but on the first page someone said that the best car for the 1/4 mile (400m) is the RUF RGT which did it in 9.1 seconds.

I got my Escudo to do it in 8.798 seconds, I have changed my settings since, butI'll try to get them back (or possibly improve on this) now, also, I got my Escudo up to 467.6 Km/h (292.25 Mph) I have also lost these settings, but will try to find them again, also try to improve on it.

I would like to request settings for the two Aston Martins you can buy, the DB7 Vantage and the V8 Vantage. Thanks in advance.

re: Hot Rides: Custom Settings Showcase III

Take a look back through the previous two threads, I think there may be some settings in there for you.

If not, try asking Kenji for some help, he's generally better with the Aston Martins than I am. Still, I'll check my files later and see if I have anything for these cars... I think I have something for the DB7 Coupe. I'll get back to you later today.

OK thanks Johnny. I looked through the other two threads and all I could find was the Vanquish, which, sadly, I havent got. Thats why I posted in here for them.

In that case I'll get to work on the DB7 Coupe. As I said, I think kenji might have something for the V8, so I'll hold off on that one until he gets a chance to take a look at this thread.

As Requested....

Aston Martin DB7 Vantage
Grasmere Blue

HP: 669
Laguna lap time: 1.22.3
400m: 11.6
1000m: 20.3
Max Speed: 203.5 mph

All Performance Parts Purchased
Super Soft Tires

Spring Rate: 10.6 / 9.6
Ride Height: 94 / 94
Shock Bound: 7 / 7
Shock Rebound: 5 / 5
Camber angle: 2.0 / 1.0
Toe angle: 0 / 0
Stabilizer: 2 / 3
Brakes: 19 / 16

LSI: 0 / 10
LSA: 0 / 40
LSD: 0 / 20

Auto gear Setting: 34
Final Gear Setting 3.700

ASM: 6
TCS: 3

I found this model to be quite underpowered, which made it difficult to create some workable settings. I tried to make the car managable while at the same time ensuring a decent performance.

It's all right, but this thing won't hold up in a serious race for very long.

I was looking through my garage looking for a car to do somthing with, and then I remembered this car. My first car it was, well mine and my Dad's. We had tuned it up before and it was the perfect beginners car, especially for the races in the begginer league.

Well, I was bored, and I wanted to see what I could do with it. It didnt have all the parts purchaced, for one it couldnt, but me and my Dad back then had a modest budget, but now I had more money, I bought everything I could for the car. You cant get somethings for this car, for some reason, so you cant funny cusomtize it, but I did my best.

I had a run on the Complex String with just the upgrades, no change of the settings, it was about 5 and a half minutes. Then I started to play about with the settings, reading carefully what did what, and I cam up with the above. I ran it round the track and found it alot quicker out of the cornors, handling alot better. I then tried at Laguna Seca, I wasnt far off the time I set with Johnny's S2000, but I still wasnt finished. I tweaked the gears again and now they are brilliant. The time was alot better and I improved by 2 seconds.

This car has alot of potential, I feel, and I wanted to see it. So I went to the Yaris Cup (Beginner League) to see what it would make of it. Well I won every race by at least 6 seconds, alot better then before my tune.

Anyway, I would reccomend this car for beginners mainly, it wont win you major races, but it will get you started. I would advice you to widen the gears considerably on longer courses, I think my settings are for more the average course, bends, straights, no too long a straight mind. Enjoy!

Any feedback is apreciated.

This was originally going to be a rally car, when I first bought it oh so long ago. It wa fast, it won me alot of races, but it didnt perform as well as I wanted it to in the rallys. So I left it.

Now, 6 months later, I have found it again. I needed a Lancer for the Lancer CUp which I hadnt completed, and thought this was another oportunity to tune somthing up. So i tuned it, and tested and tuned and tested, and came up with this one. It works very well for me and I love it. I have always liked this car since it has won me so much, going on 850 km now.

It is a very manageable car and is great for the novice, you could try closing the gears and putting on rally tires and see what it can do for you in the rally races.

Feedback apreciated.

For an NSX, you would expect more speed wouldnt you? Well I didnt tune this for top speed. I tuned it for acceleration and handling, it is quick and handles well.

I wanted this car for the Type-R races in the Amateur League, it won all the races considerably. I hope you enjoy using this car, it is better suited to more twisty circuits, but not all of them. It had a good run on the Complex String but the top speed let it down on the main straigh, that lost a bit of time there. Otherwise it is great. I would make the gears looser if you want to go faster, I am sure it will.

Feedback apreciated. I have also noticed that this is the first normal NSX that has been customised and been posted here.

re: Hot Rides: Custom Settings Showcase III

Hey guys! I've been on vacation for a while and schoo just started so I have been busy, but it is okay now.

Anyway, I know that you may think 'Oh that Black Mage guy sucks! He asks for stuff and never posts any settings back!' Well if you do I'm sorry, but I just suck at tuning cars. I can drive them, but not tune em'. So what I'm asking are some settings for the Pennzoil Nismo. If you don;t what that is, it's the yellow car in the Nissan section.
