Your Favourite Car |
|
This is a follow up to my other thread about good cars to play with. This time I would like to know your favourite cars(s) and why. I'd like some more ideas about interesting or amazing cars. However, please do not list Formula Racers or Rally Cars. For the moment I would only like to know about regular vehicles.
My favourite cars: 1. Pagani - Zonda Race Car 2. Tommi Kaira - ZZII 3. S2000 Lm Race Car

The ZZII is well worth your time, It's my second fav car. For the MR challenge, try using a Zonda (race car, or either of the C12's) Equip them with slick tires and you won't have to pit. That's how i did it.

I know it actually exists, though the actual model name may be a little different. As for the cost, I really have no idea, but probably above 300 000 US$.
Too Bad. ------------------- ![]()

I never liked the way the GT1 cars look. They look like big red botches to me, and I don't care for them. The same goes for the Escudo. Looks like a goddamn train engine to me. (Handles like one too).
There are a lot of good performance cars in the game. But the Zonda Race Car is the only one with the looks to go with it. It's not enough to win. You gotta' win with style! ------------------- ![]()

I still think it's too overpowered. Unless you're out on the test course, it's really not a good choice.

Are you sure? The Camaro SS is quite fast when fully tuned, and it only costs like 28 000 credits. It's definately the best for under 30 000$ cars.

Yeah, about that much. But for a little more you could get a Skyline or something else that's good.

S class cars and other high end vehicles can be boosted with engine and turbo kits, but they come with the suspension and transmission already installed, and that stuff usually runs for around 65 000 all told. So when you buy a cheaper car, add about 65000-70000 credits to the price, and then some more for a new engine/turbo kit.
Still that means spending around 120 000 extra on the cheap car, ehich will come to a grand total of around 170 000 - 300 000 depending on the car. That's still cheaper than buying an S class car from the dealer. ------------------- ![]()

Those are all great cars. But I still give my number one spot to the Zonda Race car. Speed and style, and everything else is perfect. Winning one is no easy feat, but it's an absolutely amazing machine.

No, the Shelby Cobra isn't very good. It's okay, but for 500 000$ you can buy MUCH better cars then that. If you have 500 000 you might consider a Zonda C12s, an RUF RGT or another higher end car. These will give you much better results than the cobra.
If you still want the cobra, then win it in the Spider/Roadster challenge on the pro league; that way it doesn't cost you anything. ------------------- ![]()

Yeah, that's a good car. I don't like the colour scheme though, which is really too bad. There are only a few S class cars that actually look good with their colours. Cars such as the Zonda Race Car, R390 race car, s2000lm race car and the camaro race car. I'm sure there are others also.

I acutally like the Speed six better, even though it's slower. It handles really nicely. Supra was good too, though i didn't like the way they set up the Castrol Tom Supra. Oh well.

I got the Miata first, and I stand by my choice of car. I love the 787B, excellent car. Fast with unbelievable handling. Like driving a formula car.

The Speed 6? You must have it tuned well, or you haven't tuned the 787B well enough, I drive mine at close to 1000 horses because it can take it. My ZZII doesn't go quite as fast, but it's still a worthy machine, and my third favourite car.
If your Speed 6 is clocking faster times then could you tell me what settings you have on it? I like that car, and I would love to see it go that fast. BTW, if you were actually referring to the Sped 12 then nevermind. My Speed 12 is fast enough already:) ------------------- ![]()

My new and likely final list. Based both on performance, looks, cost and any other factor(s) I deem fit to judge a car by.
1. S2000 V Model: Nobody drives it better than me. 2. 787B : My best car 3. Zonda Race Car: Another grat car, and has my highest milleage Those are my fav's. ------------------- ![]()

re: Your Favourite Car |
quote GT3N00BAfter all tuning and upgrades my Honda S2000 type V weighs in at approximately 550 Horsepower. Given the fact that it's a very lightweight machine, this allows for some excellent speed to be achieved. The settings for my Honda are on Page 2 of the First Hot Rides, Custom Settings Showcase thread. ------------------- ![]()

re: Your Favourite Car |
quote GT3N00BWell, I did say Give or Take. Try changing the oil... other than that I don't know. It's kind of strange... I have three models set up the exact same way and they all have slightly different HP values. Maybe that goes to support Testament's theory that there is a difference even between cars of the same model. Anyways, 544 is more than enough, and the settings will still work. If you have feedback on them, post it in the Hot Rides thread please. Thank you. ------------------- ![]()

re: Your Favourite Car |

Hmmm... sort of. I do like the drift style where the back swings out, but I wouldn't consider myself a drift king. I prefer controlled skids... I set my cars up to be very loose, which also makes them harder to drive. However, once you learn to control the power skids and acceleration turning they are unbeatable.
Note: Acceleration turning is where I turn using oversteer and the gas pedal - I am not hitting the directional arrows or analog stick. It's all about capitalizing on the position of the steering column and the existing oversteer. ------------------- ![]()
