quote Eliwood the SlayerActually, Reikken's comparison is assuming you promote her at chapter 26 which seems unlikely due to the Heaven Seal more likely going to Eliwood. -------------------

quote Eliwood the SlayerEliwood is a better fighter offensively and has higher Eva than Lyn. You don't need to be a genius who's more deserving for a Heaven Seal. 20K to make a good unit better >>>> 20K to make a bad unit decent. -------------------

quoteHahahaha no. For that to actually happen, you need Harken, which I believe joins after the heaven seal. Then you need to support-train Harken, blah blah blah. >.> Offensively is greatly debatable. Lyn's prf weapon >>>>>>>>>> Eliwood's prf weapon

quote Eliwood the Slayer20/- Eliwood with A Lowen has 61 Eva. 20/- Lyn with A Florina B Kent has 58 Eva. B| I rest my case. quote Eliwood the SlayerEliwood can wield the Killing Edge without Spd loss. Eliwood also has 1 more POW compared to Lyn w/ Mani Katti while wielding it. And when Florina flies off on an errand, Eliwood has a 4 POW lead on Lyn. Eliwood's offense >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lyn's offense. If you give Lyn a Killing Edge too, her POW ties with Eliwood's with Florina, and loses to him by 3 POW without her. And Eliwood's Eva lead increases and Lyn's AS lead drops. Eliwood is still winning in both offense and durability. B| This message was edited by GhostMember on Nov 13 2007. -------------------

re: General On-Topic Discussion [Where the big boys come to play] |
quote MajeSanNo, he's saying that Lyn's offense is better than Eliwood's because of the Mani Katti. I'm showing that Eliwood's offense is better than Lyn's because he can use better weapons more effectively. The fact that Eliwood's Rapier is inferior to the Mani Katti has no relevance to Eliwood's offense since he's only using it to kill cavaliers/armours while Killing Edges would be his most used weapon as it is the best weapon he can use. And you've got to be joking me. Neither unit is S-ranking Bows nor Lances. Both S-rank Swords since there's way too little time to train Lance/Bow level. Anyways, bows suck in comparison to lances. They can't counter melee attacks, they can't get WTA on anything, and their high cost per use does not justify their low Might. B| -------------------

Jellywood>Lyn obv., but Lyn's prf weapon is free, right? And using Jellywood's puts you back 6k IIRC. ------------------- ![]() "Death's gotta be easy, 'cause life is hard."

Yeah, I was about to bring that up; cost. Eliwood's taking up money, while Lyn gets more uses and is free.

quote MastaHazukiWhat it means is that Eliwood gives 6300G to your party right when he arrives while Lyn gives only 2800G IF you A-rank funds in Lyn's mode. So now Eliwood is helping funds rank more than Lyn. quote EtSYes, he's using Killing Edges often. You have a Silver Card. Use it. quoteC Kent gives 2 Eva. B Kent gives 5. quoteNo. She isn't. At 20/-, she has 19 Spd and 15 Luk. That gives 53 Eva. Factor B Kent and it gets boosted to 58. quoteNo, she isn't. quote'kk. ;-D -------------------

re: General On-Topic Discussion [Where the big boys come to play] |
quote Oh, ok. Let's not factor in rapier then. Let's see, Eliwood can not kill knights, cavaliers, nomads (fast nomads > pansywood), loses hit, critical, and might. quoteTwo things. 1. Aion. Once you involve something with him, Kishuna leaves. When Matthew steals something, he tries to run with someone rescuing him, and HHM is too hard for someone to one round Aion. Even Marcus. And with that factored in, you can't get 20xx. But even if you DO manage to get the card... 2. Legault and Merlinus. Hector hard mode is not easy. With limited people, and needed use of the three lords, you're not gonna want someone to protect Merlinus, as he/she is gonna get killed from overkill of pegasus knights. EVEN if you get Legault and steal the card, Merlinus is probably dead from the pegasus knights. Legault is not going to get only killing edge. He's gonna have to get others, if he wants to balance out the team and not be biased against people who's names are not Eliwood. So, very limited killing edges. Then, with multiple sword users (Lyn, Raven, Guy, cavaliers, etc), that's even less killers you can get. So, I'd 1 killing edge for Eliwood. quote I just realized Kent's supports are better than Lyn's. Don't give me that shit about how he wants Sain, if Eliwood gets your preferred, Lyn gets mine. So, 7 avoid, 17 hit, and 17 critical. Compared to 0 hit, 0 critical, and 25 avoid, it's pretty evened out. And don't bring up "critical is unreliable". Mana katti/killing edge brings up Lyn's critical greatly, and is going to deal out more damage with it. quote20 speed and 15 luck. A Kent's 7, and that's a 62. Oh well, still better. quoteOh well. >.> Btw, Mani Katti >>> Iron sword, so that's helping out Lyn with what, 3 more might?

re: General On-Topic Discussion FE OLDIES UNITE! |
quote Eliwood the SlayerLyn can't kill those people without the Mani Katti too so I don't know where you're going with this. _/-(o_0)_/- quote Eliwood the Slayerlol. I think you've got it mixed up. Kishuna will leave on the turn you attack him or turn 13 (Whichever comes first). You can even kill Aion and still have time to deal with Kishuna. And Aion, has lyk, only 50 dodge (due to the throne) and practically no AS since he will have Bolting equipped most of the time. And even if you kill Kishuna before Aion (unlikely, but w/e) you can trick him to reequip Bolting by staying out of Thunder range. quote Eliwood the SlayerYou're a tactician. You're supposed to do what is best for your group. And what's best is getting Legault to steal that Member Card. You're losing 6000G and access to h4x weapons early in the game. And why are you not leaving people to take care of Merlinus? If enemy Peg Knights are getting close to him, your units are getting training, are they not? Here's the situation as I see it: 1. Legault is recruited. 2. Legault steals the Member Card. 3. Legault gets the Silver Card from an ally. 4. Legault visits the Secret Shop. 5. Legault spends your army's Gold on Killers and sends them to Supply. The only limitation Legault has on the number of weapons he can buy is the amount of Gold you have. quote Eliwood the Slayerlol. By the time Lyn gets B Kent, she could've gotten A Florina. You're giving up 1 POW, 10 Hit, and 10 Crt for 5 Eva and 3 CEva for 27 turns. You're giving up large offense boosts just for 5 Eva and 3 CEva. I want you to think about that and see whether A Kent B Florina is a good choice for Lyn. quote Eliwood the SlayerLyn's Crt rate is lower with your Kent support. decied on 1 plzkthanx. quote Eliwood the SlayerShe averages 19.3 Spd. And last time I checked, 0.3 isn't rounded off to 1. That's 60 Eva and she's still losing out to Eliwood even with your A Kent support. quote Eliwood the SlayerSo? Lyn's supports still don't let her outdamage Eliwood. -------------------
