Huh, I always used Marcus to rush to her village before the bandits wrecked it.

I always keep Marcus back by Merlinus to await the Pegasus reinforcements, so I usually got Priscilla with Erk, since more often than not, I wasn't planning on using Erk, so he was the designated runner.
I figured it'd be the safest thing too, I wouldn't want to go there with someone else & have to restart because I went to recruit her with someone else. That chapter is amongst my least favorite of the early game. The only chapter I hate more is Vortex of Strategy. >_> Lloyd's Four Fanged Offense was always a hassle too. Also, is it possible to use the Warp staff in Genesis to get someone in the room to kill Kishuna? Or would he sense it & flee? ------------------- ![]()

re: General On Topic Discussion: The Resurrection Continues |

Would that even be possible? I might be wrong, but I don't recall staves working in the silenced area he creates, and I don't think anyone would have enough magic power to possess warp range that goes that far into the silence field.

I think you might be a little confused with Rescue. Rescue has 1~Mgc/2 range and summons a character right next to the user. Warp has 1 range and can teleport him to anywhere on the map.
So I guess it's possible. However, you only get one Warp in the game during Chapter 27E/29H. :/ Try sharking a Warp in and see what happens. Kishuna will still run away if you don't manage to kill him with one attack, though. -------------------

It's either you attack him and you get the magical stuff, or you open the door yourself and get the physical stuff.

So I'm guessing unless you get some freak critical, chances are you won't be able to kill him. Even if you were to kill him, you'd still get the physical weapons I'd assume right, since you did attack him after all.

I didn't realise Warp had infinite range for the target position. I just assumed it was the same as all ranged staves.
Freak critical? Probably not. I know that when fighting the dude in the first encounter (whatever the chapter is called - the gaiden after beating Uhai) a critical tends to not even take half his health off. Or maybe my units just sucked. Speaking of which, anyone know if Kishuna can be hit with silencer? Gah, I don't think I have a game file anywhere near Genesis. I can't be bothered ploughing through to get to it, even with cheating all the way there. -------------------

I think Silencer should work on him, since Serenes only says that it doesn't work for the Fire Dragon.
Kishuna has 50+ HP and decent defense, so I guess you kinda need to be lucky with Crits. Could Dart or Hawkeye help? They need about 30 something raw POW before they can OHKO Kishuna with a Crit. -------------------

It's possible. Hawkeye has 18 base Str, so hitting 32 attack could mean no more than taking the devil axe against him (or a silver axe, but I can't remember if you get one before Genesis).
Dart? I think his average Str at 20/1 is 21 so... 11 might weapon. He could probably just use a killer axe unless he's unlucky in level up gains. -------------------

quote tomato13187Yes. When I played through the game the first time, those two chapters probably caused me the most problems out of any. I know I restarted both at least 10 times apiece. ------------------- I came, I saw, I wish I hadn't http://www.petitiononline.com/fe6/petition.html Please sign the petition to bring Fire Emblem 6 to the U.S. Read it for further details.

quote Ranger 1Even now those chapters I often have to start over. Vortex of Strategy especially, considering I'm usually just using Lyn, Florina, Serra, Nils, & Lucius - Two of whom cannot attack, which adds to the fun. Although overall, Night of Farewells is the most difficult chapter in the game unless you use the mine glitch. I always used to have problems with it, & I don't think I ever beat it without using the mine glitch. ------------------- ![]()
