quote tomato13187It sucks. It's doable, but it sucks. The mine glitch makes it easier but still annoying with the floor tiles moving around. ------------------- "Are you...comparing me to God? I'm flattered, but just so you know, I've never made a tree." ~House

quote tomato13187There aren't many chapters I still have problems with. Once you find the trick to it, it's not too bad. quote tomato13187Yeah, that was a pretty freakin hard chapter. I've never used the mine glitch, but it's very doable if you're as cautious as I am. ------------------- I came, I saw, I wish I hadn't http://www.petitiononline.com/fe6/petition.html Please sign the petition to bring Fire Emblem 6 to the U.S. Read it for further details.

So I've recently picked up Dragon Warrior Monsters 2, again. It is such a fantastic game. You should all go out & buy a 5 dollar Gameboy catridge at your local games retailer. Or download it illegally.
In other news, AP exams are all this week & next. I only have 2, US History & English Language & Composition. Next year will be Macroeconomics, English Literature & Biology. If not Biology, I may take European History & Human Geography, but that depends on whether my guidance counselor tells me if I should take Science since it'll look better on a transcript than 3 history classes. ------------------- ![]()

Night of Farewells was a frakking hard the first time I played it. Well, who am I kidding, it was hard everytime, because I was always hellbent on raising Nino to level 20 and promoting her on that level. It was perfect for that purpose, but it made the level a hundred times more difficult. Eventually I beat it, but yeah.
AP exams, huh? I'm so glad I'm in college and no longer have to worry about that stuff anymore. Instead I'm worried about huge final exams that I'm sure to fail. ![]() -------------------

quote MastixLol, I remember the first time you got there. You were so effing frustrated. I seem to also recall that being the point where soft resetting started wiping your game, lol. quote MastixYeeeeah... Finals are not fun. Especially not Saturday morning finals. It does seem really odd that I've been here 5 years, through part of middle school and all of high school. You look back at the things you wrote back then, and it's just so weird, like you're looking at someone totally different. Odd to see the things that change, and the things that probably never will. ------------------- I came, I saw, I wish I hadn't http://www.petitiononline.com/fe6/petition.html Please sign the petition to bring Fire Emblem 6 to the U.S. Read it for further details.

Oh god... I'll never forget the scarring from that. So *bleep*ing annoying. I wanted to just snap my cartridge at some point. I had to start the entire game over numerous times because of that. Unbelievable.
Goodness. I don't even want to look at my first few posts. I seem to recall writing with a lot of ellipses (after every sentence, I mean) like a total moron for no reason. I don't want to look back any farther than I have to, let's put it that way. It's scary. ![]() -------------------

I was twelve when I first got here, so I was just an immature idiot. Not much more I can say xD Night of Farewells would definitely win the 'Hardest Chapter Award' for FE7. Once I started using Florina or Farina it got much easier, but even still, it's a difficult chapter.
Also, amazing news, Pokemon Gold & Silver remakes seem to be on the way. Very exciting, they'll sell well for sure. So I guess I have a list of games to get (For summer, since I doubt I'll be able to get a job) Dragon Quest VII Dragon Warriors III Dragon Warriors Monsters Pokemon Silver/Gold Remake RPGs are always a good way to consume time. Well, yeah, it was my Rangeritis. However, I had obscene luck in other things. Like stat growths and certain glitched characters like my Dart (admittedly, that was due to my game being screwed horrendously by Gameshark and never quite recovering, but it's a lucky glitch nonetheless). Freaking weird, that was.
I think Battle Before Dawn in Hector Hard mode is a pretty tough contestant for hardest chapter in the game. Assuming you want Jaffar, which everyone does, the chapter is almost impossible. It must have taken me about 100 tries to get the guy and beat the chapter. He kept getting killed by the bleeding swordreavers, sometimes even on the 2nd turn. It was hopeless. However, I think 26x/28x (depending on the mode) takes the cake for being the hardest in all modes. I must have been like... 14 or 15 when I seriously started here? I was still a blathering idiot, even then. Painful memories. Painful memories indeed. I wish I had time to consume with videogames. I haven't played a proper videogame in ages. I mean ages. I miss them. I miss them so much. ![]() -------------------

It figures that once I finish all my AP Tests & essentially have no homework, I find that I have close to nothing to do. All I've been doing lately is reading. I finished Tortilla Flat by John Steinbeck two days ago (Which was excellent, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Then again I'm just a Steinbeck fanboy since I like descriptive styles of writing, so it may not be as good as I say. I started Fahrenheit 451 last night & nearly read half of it in less than an hour. I'll probably finish it in the next few days, then move onto 1984. After that, I'd like to finish Studs Lonnigan, but we'll have to see. I also kind of got a job today: Giving guitar lessons. We agreed on sixteen dollars an hour, which isn't a lot, but I'll gladly take it for playing guitar.
I also want to note - & I know Ranger, if anyone, will appreciate this - on my AP English test we had a Synthesis Essay (A DBQ) about space travel & whether the government should fund it. Afterwards, I'm sitting with 3 of my friends discussing the test. When we get to the essay my one friend says "Yeah, my first sentence was 'Space: The Final Frontier". My other two friends shouted "Me too!". xD It was quite humorous, that all three all went to Star Trek references. I like using Dart, but I don't really use him that much, since usually I make Oswin my primary axe-wielder anyhow. Even in normal mode though, Jaffar gets killed, or runs out of uses on his killing edge, which is always fun. What's odd is that Nino never dies. I've never seen her die in any playthrough I've played. Fear not Mastix - We were all idiots when we first ventured here. It's odd how you say it about your 14/15 year old self, whilst I am only 16 as it is. xD Thanks. & why the lack of games? ------------------- ![]()

Lol, nice.

Steinbeck is always good. You should check out East of Eden. It's one of his best. Since you're a fanboy, I'm sure you've already read it, but still. Sixteen and hour isn't bad at all. Especially as a high school student. Haha
On all of my AP tests, I wrote "THIS IS SPARTAAA!!!" and crossed it out so they weren't allowed to count it while grading. That's not exactly relevant, but hey. Haha. I think I would have done the same in your situation. XD In normal mode they can't hit him, let alone kill him. In hard they just slaughter him repeatedly. Nino just never gets attacked by any powerful enemies. I think there's a bias in the AI on that stage. Well, you must know the forum age phenomena. When new to the forums, most people act like noobs. As they stay and get used to the place, they grow more mature in the forum community. The lack of games is due to college. I'm in the Netherlands, I have no television, and though I have a Wii here and could play, no one else plays, so it gets boring fast. Now that I'm DONE, the time will soon arrive where I can play games back home. ![]() -------------------

I read Of Mice and Men and The Pearl, and it seems like Steinbeck was a pretty depressing man. :[

quote MastixI second this. East of Eden is his best in my opinion. quote MastixI drew pictures on my AP Calc test. Of my teacher. At the bottom of a lake. With cement shoes. quote MastixI've had Jaffar die on normal a few times, I've had Nino die a few times. On hard it just gets sucky. quote MastixI'm in about the same boat. And there will be games. quote GhostMemberThe world is often a pretty depressing place. ------------------- I came, I saw, I wish I hadn't http://www.petitiononline.com/fe6/petition.html Please sign the petition to bring Fire Emblem 6 to the U.S. Read it for further details.
