It would surprise me if they did, actually. I don't think Gale or Colosseum sold particularly well, so they figured they'd go back to the old 'pure battling' ways of Stadium 1 & 2. If they made the game single battles instead of doubles, I wouldn't mind the shadow Pokemon crap nearly as much.

Although Nintendo as of late seems to be more concerned with gimmicky Wiimote games, especially considering their big hits for Wii are all out - Galaxy, Twilight Princess, & Brawl - they probably won't make another incarnation of those series until they release their next system, unless they create games for the Wii later in its life, like what they did on N64 with Paper Mario & Majora's Mask - Both realeased shortly before the introduction of the Gamecube.

If there was anything on my 'Wiishlist', I'd like another Fire Emblem game - preferably off Tellius - it's been milked for just about all its worth. Either that or a traditional Paper Mario game. From my understanding, Super Paper Mario straggled the fence a bit of RPG & Actiony sidescroller, more leaning towards the latter. & without partners, it's just much less appealing, to me at least.

They certainly rushed Shadow Dragon and it was fairly crap.
