That makes you enjoy it so much?
It sounds like a fairly simple concept on paper, but it's just such an enticing series that is only three games short of the FF series in length, and matches it and THEN some in quality. Chess-like strategics, mostly. I think that the most appealing part, though, is the fact that the odds are stacked in your favor while it is made to look like the odds are against you. In this way, it is a fairly simple (though often lengthy) process to win a battle, yet when you do there is a genuine sense of accomplishment. This is why I enjoy Fire Emblem, in short.

Oh Lord no. I have Rangeritis in almost every game that I play. Except when playing multiplayer, oddly enough.

I am really not sure why I like it so much. Probably because it combines my two favorite genres, Strategy and RPG and does it beautifully, with a great storyline (most of the time) tied in.

Simplicity is all the reason I need. I love FE because it's easy to understand the mechanics of it (unlike 99% of RPGs), and straightforward. And yeah, it's very hackable. <____<

Easy to pick up and understand, along with the difficulty some chapters can pose. Some people say the game doesn't take tactical thinking after a certain point, but that's because it's become second nature and they don't realize it anymore.
