Good Level?

What's a good level for everyone in Lyn Hard Mode to be at after finishing Chapter 10? I tried to give everyone a fair amount of EXP so that Hector Hard Mode isn't that bad. Is there anyone I should put special focus on leveling a lot?

re: Good Level?

Kent and Sain if you plan to use them. Nils needs to be Lv 7 to get Chapter 19xx too. From experience, I'd also recommend that Matthew gets some EXP so that he doesn't get pwnt rather easily in Chapter 11H.

The rest of LM's cast is isn't that great, but all of them with the exception of Wil, Dorcas, Wallace and Rath still work kinda well in HHM.

Lyn is kinda meh, but since she's a forced unit, you can give her an extra bit of EXP if you want to use her.

Let Serra do whatever she wants, she gains Exp rather easily by spamming Heal anyway.

re: Good Level?

I've found that training Dorcas really helps keep Eliwood alive in Chapter 12H and Matthew is also really helpful in 11H. I've also found that training Wil, Kent, and Sain makes it easier for Lyn's group to reunite with the others in whatever chapter it was that you have to get them again.

re: Good Level?

I personally let Lyn, Kent and Sain clean house in their reunion. Moreso if you want to give up a White Gem to promote Kent/Sain in LHM.

As for Wil and Dorcas, meh. They'll be outdone by most others by midgame. I'd use Marcus and Oswin as meatshields and to weaken some of the enemies.

But if you want to use them in your main team, then go ahead. It's your playthrough, after all.

re: Good Level?

I always like to get Matthew to a respectable level. He is usually one of my best units in the early portion of the game, although sometimes he maxes out by like chapter 15 or so & can't be used for exp for a long time afterwards.

But other than Matthew, as GM said, Kent & Sain are both very useful, Serra is of course useful. Florina can be pretty good too with some training. I'm a Lucius fan so I always use him regardless.

re: Good Level?

I generally train Serra, Lyn, Kent, and Florina to pretty high levels. Sometimes Erk too, depending on if I'm going to use Priscilla as my anima user or not.

I agree, other than Wil and Wallace... I feel archers are near useless, I say that having raised a 20/20 Becky and 20/20 Wil.

re: Good Level?

I don't mind Archers, but Wil never seems to come out quite as good as Rebecca.

re: Good Level?

I tend to use a good portion of Lyn's party in each playthrough just because I'm a lazy hag who can't be bothered to start Hector Hard Mode without boosted units.

I'm saying that all four of them suck in a nicer way. :P

Rebecca has a huge advantage in supports compared to Wil, so I don't think it's entirely correct that she's nearly useless. She has Evade that rivals some of your fastest units thanks to Lowen, Raven, and Nino supports (I'm assuming non-ranked).
