The Life Of A General

My friend tells me that a general can live for up to 130 years!!! and after this process the generals age would go back to zero!!!
For some reason I don'y believe him (I'm a good friend )

Is this true!!!???
and if it is:
How can I do that?

My Thanks

Not true as far as I know.I've rarely had a general who lived past 70.Unless he's using a cheat.

heh
True never thought of that but, I don't think there could be a cheat like that hmm

Or Could There

I nearly forgot to mention that he the generals that tend to live for long lived in cities where the sanatation level was HIGH

I imagine a general would live longer in a sanitary city,but I still don't think he'd live to 130.

To be honest, I think your mate's talking crap. Anyway, if an overflow occured around that age, it would happen around 128 (binary system, 2x2x2x2x2x2x2=128)

Generals don't live into their hundreds. Either you friend has altered the gameplay or is flat out lying. No legit way to have this happen.

Your friend's bullshitting you. Realisitically, it's impossible for any character at that time to live to 130 years old. Hell, it's almost impossible to live to that age today.

re: The Life Of A General

I've just realised that this thread title really reminds me of a Red Dwarf episode where Rimmer's talking about the "life of a general". His definition is to hide at the back like a coward, drinking wine. Wait! Isn't that what Bonapart did?

You should tell your friend that Hannibal will invade Italy at some point.

re: The Life Of A General

yes it is possible, just very unlikely. Starting at 65 and then every turn after your generals have a percentage chance of croaking. At 128 the age rolls back to zero so you get another 65 years of free time before the death rolls start again.

Too bad the only time it has happened to me it was a general I had thought about killing myself 8))

re: The Life Of A General

Interesting, I wonder if it's possible to manipulate this by saving at the end of each turn, that way making the best generals immortal

It'd be great for a 10 star general to live for over 200 years
