Having only played two of the amazing Contra games i nthe series, I don't exactly know how good it gets, but for one thing: I know Contra is known for having some of the most awesome and challenging bosses ever. MY favorite so far would have to be the Final Boss of Alien Wars

Pretty much all the bosses are amazing starting from the very first contra up to shattered soilder they are all incrediable I just can't decide which one I like the best but if I have to it would be the entire last level and all the bosses in it!

I don't know which two Contra games Master X has played, but I can bet it probably wasn't Contra: Hard CORPS, for the Sega Genesis. That game had bosses up the wahzoo, and I think it's nearly impossible to determine the coolest boss of a Contra series. Personally, I'm going with the first boss of the "Secret Arena" in Hard CORPS. He was a crazy robot with a metal whip and robot afro that spat fish out of his neck when you finally blew him up. I'm pretty sure that was a way of Konami incorporating their greastest series, (Castlevania,) into Contra.
