This is stupid. Just compare the prey of each dinosaur. T-rex; Triceratops, velociraptor, and parasorelophus(i can't spell). Spinosaurus; Corythosorus, ouranosaurus, and fish. T-rex has to defeat an armored tank and a pack of killers for food, while spino fishes, not fight for it.

Saying that everyone here says that T-Rex would win knows nothing. If you are one of those people keep reading. Really you would never know who wins! You are not a Spino or a T-rex. So get your head out of your butt and stop saying T-rex would win. I really think that you know nothing but what Hollywood feeds you. If you were really smart you would know that. Because Hollywood is not always right. If anything it would be 50% chance on both side.

quote free the cows Ok just because Spino ate fish does not mean it did not eat other Dinos. T-Rex is no better than a Spino. Just because you say it is does not mean it is. "IDIOT!" Stop filling your self with lies. i am not for spino or t-rex i am just saying that any one of them can win no one knows and just because in games T-Rex wins or Spino wins does not mean it will help what you think. T-Rex could have won at times and Spino could have won at times you will never know. "DAH!"

The Rex would dominate the spino. A spinosaurus had the long snout and claws because it ate mainly fish. If you look at a baryonix, you'll see that it has similar attributes to a spinosaurus because it mostly ate fish. There's no doubt in my mind that the tyrant lizard king could take a fish eater.

re: Spinosaurus vs T-rex: who would win? |

anyone that says a spinosaurus would win over a rex is mistaken. whoever said they found a spinosaurus 5 feet longer than the largest rex, so what? the spinosaurus was so much more lightly build than the rex it would lack the muscle and gerth to withstand a charge by a rex. if it wasn't for the sail on the back the spinosaurus would look thin and frail. they are both relatively the same length, but rex was more heavily built. for nba fans, let's compare kevin garnett and shaq. they're both 7 feet tall, but shaq probably has about 50 to 75 lbs on KG, there's nobody in their right mind that would say KG would whip shaq's ass. another analogy is a fight between a doberman and a stacked pit bull. a more lean streamlined animal taking on a pile of muscle and girth. now, moving on past the obvious size advantage. T rex has made its pr rounds mainly because of its head. the rex's head is massive. it is made to destroy. may not be totally efficient as far as pinpoint accuracy, but it could grab a 50 ft long animal by the neck. the rex's head is so large that it's neck had to be crazy muscular just to support it and move it. as the neck is pretty much the main vulnerability for predators facing off against eachother, having a super thick layer of muscle protection gives you a huge advantage. in contrast, spinosaurus has a longer, more flexible neck; as well as a longer crocodile like head. this animal evolved to become efficient in its element. This animal's element was wading through a river and grabbing fish with its long thin snout and straight teeth. again, in its element, this animal was very productive. in some virtual arena where it comes face to face with stronger, bulkier, and more aggressive rex. the spinosaurus would essentially need to fight from a distance, but it wouldnt possess the strength to keep the rex at bay. basically, the summarized answer is this: [u]the spinosaurus's head and neck structure is a disadvantage compared to the solid structure of the rex's head and neck. that said, another thing, when looking at the skeletal structure, many believe due to the relatively short hind legs and the jointed forelimbs, the spinosaurus primarily walked on all fours. this would allow the rex to just bring its weight down with its head and chest and pin down the spinosaurus. lastly, i question the ability of the spinosaurus to do sufficient damage to the rex in a quick-paced confrontation. the jaw structure of the spinosaurus prevents it to grab something at wide at the rex neck. a spinosaurus is a glorified pincher, a rex is a glorified crusher. a t-rex would charge into the confrontation, and grab the throat of the spinosaurus with its massive jaws, then it would kill it. thus, securing a hefty meal and securing territory for itself.
