Dexcool is straight up the shittiest coolant you can be putting in your car. That shit congeels (sp?) at the drop of a hat and turns into mush before you know it. Stay with the green shit and some water wetter and you'll be good to go. Hopefully you can get away with new head gaskets and ARPs as the only parts expense. Good luck!

re: Possible dead motor

I wouldn't say that but...I definitely would go the hair dryer route if I had the money.

But I don't! I'll have to come down there and smoke you in my Blazer now Corey.

re: Possible dead motor

You guys are dummies. The term 'Cam Only' is loosely thrown around these days. It doesn't literally mean cam only. It means the only MOTOR work is a cam, stock heads, bore, stroke, etc. It likely has most bolt ons to boot and possibly gears.

And yes Corey a cam only F-Body with hang with and/or beat a pulled Cobra, they aren't THAT fast.

JG, that *bleep*ing rich mans DSM has gotten to you, it is an LS1 all day. I got an ear for those type of things.

re: Possible dead motor

Yeah 346ci stock LS1 with a CAM and that's it. No aftermarket heads, stroker kit, bored cylinders, etc etc etc. Only internals are a cam. And pushrods, rockers, springs etc but that goes along with a higher lift, longer duration cam. Can't JUST put the cam in or else you'll be taking the engine right back apart to replace the pushrods you snapped in half.

Besides, I'm sure the Cobra asked for the roll judging by the Camaro's slightly bigger than stock rear tires.

quote JgGravy
As a guy has in his sig on one of the forums i visit:
"There's not displacement for displacement, except forced induction"
Are you high?

I think you meant "There's no replacement for displacement, except forced induction."
