In this thread all neoseekers can discuss on anything gennerally related to the AvP series. Most of all the games, and characters and species. The Movie, Comics, and Novels should only be refered to a little bit. Those topics all have threads in other forums.

Lets begin with what is your favorite species?
Aliens(xenomorph), Predators(yautja), or Humans.

Whats your favorite AvP game released so far?

Pred's all the way here. The warrior race who may be responsible for the creation of the aliens species...mwahahahaha. A coupla ugly muthu farckers with some mad skillz. The weapons, the job, the hunt. I like 'em more than the others by a longshot. Alien comes in second, and as usual, humans/marines come in last.

Yes, the predators are my favorite as well. They are the coolest fictional alien concept I've ever seen developed. A culture of beings, which there entire life revolves around the hunt. Plus they are coolest looking alien design ever created. Too bad their movie series wasn't as successful as the alien series, at least they have one really good one with arnaldo in it. The alien species are not very interesting, I like the well thought out birth and and life-span they made up for them. A lot like a bug's life-span. The humans I'd have to say come 2nd, they actaully have some logic and intellect, almost worthy of the predator. 3rd is aliens, they are sort of a boring species.

My favorite game of the AvP series is the original AvP2, not the expansion, I think that made it worse. AvP:Gold was also pretty good. Then you have the old old video games from early 90's having the two species fight. I dont know too much about those, i have never played them.

I have AVP II (not expansion yet) and AVP 1. I havent beaten either of them yet. For some reason, i tend to stay away from my PC games. *_* I dont get it, but i do. Anyhow, AVP II was easier to control IMO, but AVP I felt much cooler. Only the poor marine...it was near impossible to kill a group of aliens without grenades, etc., or a smartgun and lotsa ammo.

Don't waist your money on the expansion! It makes it worse! The contols start sucking too. The extra stuff doent make any sense, and its poorly designed and not fun.

I have beaten the game's Predator part tons of times. I love being the preds. Thats the best part about the game anyway, I think they should start making pred solo games.

I have also beaten the alien parts once in the expansion and old.

I have never gotten past the first two levels with the humans. They bore me.

The pred ending is cool as hell! You should beat that at least dude. The lasts levels are fun. It doesnt take that long. The annoying part for me was fighting the hybrids in the acid place, they keep pushin' me off! I hate that annoying stuff. Then I go up on 'em wolvie-berserker-style.

The boss is a pretty cool fight. I wont spoil it I guess, its not much of a suprise. I think the second last boss is harder, the alien queen. I hate the "runners", the type of alien from alien3, those things are fast and annoyingly powerful. Its not really the power, I guess its the speed, they take you down fast strategicly like wolves. So ya gotta take em out fast.

I know the predaliens, but what was the other hybrid species called? They looked like smaller versions of alien queens.

i know whatcha talkin' bout. i dont remember the name either. them little queenies in AVP I gave be plenty o' trouble as a marine.

I never lasted long as a marine. No matter how much ass i can kick in counterstrike, quake III arena, and unreal T' 2k3, the aliens are just too much and too fast. (they do move too fast in part 1. I havent really gotten far enough in part II to see them in action. )

What i dont like about the second game, mostly, is that they kept the 'shared controls' system. That bugged me. I wish it coulda been 3 control systems, one for each species, fully customizable. Makes it kinda a hassle havning to figure that this button will also be that button when playing as somebody else. 'Course, this game doesn't seem to have that problem. I've already seen advertisements for it on the back of the Alien Queen Movie Maniacs box art. I think it's coming out this month. Anybody know an official release date? I'll try looking for one a bit later, let ya guys know if i find any.

no, of the game. theres a game poster on the back of the alien queen box art. it has the giant aliens 'I', all green and glowy, and in the middle in the bottom center, marines are coming out of it, like they are exploring a new world. Then in the upper left is an alien head looking down at them, and in the upper right, a predator head looking down at them. FREAKIN' COOL! I'll see if i can find that image and link it to here. That's a perfect profile shot!

Cool. I wanna get my hands on some of those figures. Could you post a link to some pictures of em?

The only one SPAWN.COM doesn't have a pic of, is the ALIEN WARRIOR from the first Alien movie, and the Predator Warrior, from the first Pred' movie. *yes, both those pred pics posted are of the same figure, in different positions*
The PRED WAR' and ALIEN WAR' figures come in an ALIENS VS PREDATOR double pack. I suggest you find this, and the queen, first thing. The queen taking priority. It's expensive, like 40, but it's defnitely the best. The damn thing weighs a pound! And if you have any small pets, scares them straight.

i would have to say that preds are my fav. they have cloaking and can heal themselves and their upper ranks kick ass!!!!!!!!!!!! what else could you ask for?

Not really 'that' great. It will be decent, but not epic. Paul WS Anderson is directing it, and his directing style is pretty bland, totally average. There's no ingenuity in his design and setup, no creativity. Real simple shot, simple action, basic angles. Okay, decent, but nothing wowwing. Then again, if you're the type that doesnt give a crap about substance, and just wants the action, Anderson's your man. He's more in tune with those type of folk.

i rekon the marines in AVPII are best, if you survive to the last level, thats the sweetest of the lot
