Much like the subject of this thread, I would like to know who everbody likes to use in this game. As for myself, I, so far, prefer to use the Aliens. I don't really know what made me try them out since I came into the game wanting to be the Predators or even the Marines...but when I decided to use the Aliens I found that it was actually easier to be them than the other races...at least to some degree.

For one thing, they have the highest race capacity and when you couple that with the ease of getting more of their race, it is easy to reach that cap fairly quickly. Especially with some of the upgrades like eggs that can hold more facehuggers and the facehugger upgrade that lets it become two chestbursters when it makes simple aliens like drones and runners.

Sheer numbers alone are often enough to overwhelm most opponents but should the situation arise where you find your aliens all but anhilated, which does happen from time to time if you are not careful, then you can always rely on the best unit in the game...the Queen. Not only does she have the most life (?) out of any unit in the game, but she is also highly resistant to damage and can kick quite a bit of butt when she attacks, knocking most enemy units some distance away from her. In some cases she has been the only unit to get me through a particularly tough spot in a mission.

Hmm...I suppose I could go on about how great the Aliens are...but I don't want to really waste everybody's time that much. Just remember that aliens kick some major butt...and you should all try them out. Heh, alright, sorry for that. Post what is your favorite race, and maybe why you like them like I did.

Oh, and by the way, for those of you that don't know me (read: everyone) I usually hang around in the FF Tactics forum...though I have been MIA from the whole neoseeker thing for a while.

I've tried out all the race's so far and I like playing as the predator's the most(I'm on their last mission already). All though some of their early units like hunters and brawlers are pretty good, their later units are badass. Military Blazers and Hydras are simply the most devastating units I've tried. A single upgraded Blazer backed up by a couple brawlers took out over ten alien warriors on the screen in just over five seconds.

Humans. They have nice support with the EXOsuits and the syntex are awsome! Plus, back when I used to be a starcraft finatic, I was always Terran

((Hehe not to get off topic or anything, but that question just had to be answered. Yes. Final Fantasy Tactics is one of the greatest games I have ever played. It is nothing really like the others ones except for the job classes. The combat is done turnbased on a map that is divided up like a grid. I know it is not the first game to be done like that, but it certainly is the best. You can customize you characters really any way you want, and there are enough job classes that it is hard to get bored. I have played that game seriously like a dozen times and I keep going back to it. Heh, oh yeah, and let's not forget the story...it is great too...but a bit hard to understand at times because of the NUMEROUS translation errors...but it is not impossible to get through. Alright, enough ranting about that, just try it...if you like it is only 15 bucks because it is finally a greatest hit. Oh, and back to the main subject of this thread...))

I have never played starcraft, but from what I have gathered the humans are called Terran...now, is this a generic term for humans in all of sci fi or is it specific for that game? The reason I ask is because in the Marine beastiary for the Flamethrower, under the section that details his upgrade they say that "Most Terran governments allow the use of 'dirty' weapons in situations dealing with inhuman enemies" or something close to that. I just thought it was strange...is all really.

Oh yeah, I was off track again...heh, sorry, the real reason for this post (besides promoting Tactics) was to say that since I beat the Alien campaign I decided to move onto and dedicate myself to the marines...and I must say they are not that bad. The individual is not as tough as the other races, but when you have them in a group they can mow down most enemies as long as they don't attack in a massive swarm. Heh, I also kind of like how each mission has you constantly feeling like death could come at any second...cause, well, with the marines it really could.

A must have to survive as the marines is always at least two medics, three synths, and at least one sentry gun. That way, even for mobile missions the sentry gun can help protect you when you stop at the all precious Atmo. Another important unit to have is infantry...more of them than any other attacking unit preferrably because unlike all the other units, the infantry is good all around in any situation and has no major weaknesses...except for that health thing...but so do all marines so it isn't that noticable. Heh, ah well, I am done now, later all.

So far with me the best race is the aliens. The Ravager is the best offensive unit and the facehuggers are perfect defense units unless alot of predators around. But all the races are good just that aliens bring out the best in me.

I dont have this game, yet. But I can already tell u it will be the preds. They're the best.

Yah, I agree Preds rule the planet!

The Preds are awsome and each one is fited with cloaking and medicomp, which is freakin' awsome, but they can max out the unit limit fast, where as the humans can build an elite squad of infantry, medics and symtecs! And lets not forget the EXOsuits which and kick the crap out of anything! Dont get me wrong, the Preds rock and are my second favorite race, just that I am used to the humans because I played them in starcraft...

All have there opinions such as i do. My favorite race to use is Aliens becuase no human or pred wants to run into a Ravager no sir.. and lets no forget think a queen will go easy on you? think again shell smack ya around like you were a punching bag made from pillows heheh

A ravenger is better that a queen right? So would that make a ravenger the most powerful unit in the game? Or would it be an EXOsuit? Take into consideration the cost of the unit as well as the power...

I know this is going to sound stupid, but how in the world do you get the queen to reproduce. I've tried countless efforts, but can't figure it out.

I haven't completed the game on any of the races yet, however, I have.... sampled the three races, and so far, Aliens get my vote.

Because their so much fun..., especially when you've got 40ish warriers swamping a exo...

Aliens are pretty cool, but they die so fast. You get about 8 hunters, upgraded and they can take anything the Aliens can throw at them. Ravengers are pretty awsome, though...

i would have to say that preds are my favorite they cloaking and can heal themselves and the upper class ranks kick ass! what more could you ask for?
