ending ... |
|
are there multiple endings in this game cos i just got to the end and i gotta say that im dissapointed, i mean "i want to be rich" ... splat! what kind of an ending is that? and you didnt get to spend much time in the power plant at the end, i mustve got through it to the wish granter in like 10-15 minutes.
i read not long ago, while i was already playing through the game, that people thought the game seemed unfinished, i disagreed with them wholeheartedly cos i was totally loving the game but now after that ending, im starting to see what they meant. the end seemed rushed compared to how slowly you were able to get through the rest of the game. still a great game but the ending came a bit abruptly and went a bit too quickly. ------------------- ![]() ![]() djjimmy . t35 . com

it sucked right? you play through the game for hours and hours only to get THAT! i expected some huge power plant level with dozens upon dozens of enemies (both soldiers and mutants) that would take at least a couple of hours to complete and would culminate in an amazing ending and not just the main character getting to a stupid wish granter and wishing to be rich before getting flatened by rubble. its ridiculous, hes been fighting to find out who he is and what the hell he was doing only to just want to be rich. thats a very poor ending.

what the hell do you mean the false ones? each of the 7 endings is seen by meeting different criteria, the wishgranter ending is if you have alot of money by the time you get to the end of the game. how does that make it a false ending?

'False' ending means not the correct one... The C-Consiousness and Duty/Freedom endings are the 'correct' ones

well its an ending so i dont count it as a false one, just one more to play through the game for.

There are 28 endings the next patch fix's the bug to get the last 8 there has been 7 out of 28 endings uncovered the TRUE one ending is suppose to be one of the 8 bugged ones. has something to do with the zone spreading or something. makes room for a sequel.

quote djjimmy2k2I am very satisfied with end. The true one. When you enter the portal at the end. It is quite long, shows all the facts and answers on all the questions. It is reasonable to choose that you dont want to be labrat of C-scientists. But I decided to refuse their offer long ago when their representative said that people are not ready for the truth yet. For Godssake they blow the experiment, killed thousands, and then more thousands to prevent coming to the Plant, and eventually stoping their dimension where they are, and initiated Zone chaos for money and fortune and factions wars, and now they are victims??? Whatever i wanted to wish at the Monolith it comes with destuction of Zone. Later i reloaded to still see the other endings. The one who really took this story seriously, that player saw the true way through the game.

Even the last room you are in, behind the decoded door has an option. To join THEM or stay on your path. Even in there you can see one more bad ending if you decide to join the C-scientists.
Youll be cleared of suspisions if you read my recent post ONE TRUE ENDING.

Ending(s) is anti climax after all the frustrations and bugs you have to endure to get there but I kinda knew it was the last part as there is no section quite like this in earlier parts of game. However, It was still one of the most memorable journeys to the end that I have experienced in a game - hell I remember the promotional stands for this game going up in local shops, then they disappeared without a trace - then after years of expecting this game would go the way of new duke nukem (vapourware) I was soooo thrilled it finally got here! Outdated engine or not - I love this game (though acquiesce, the ending is not the best part of this game...
