I have a *bleep*ing virus!!!

I just got a new dell model E125 (i think) this christmas and my brother downloaded something and all of the sudden my internet wouldn't connected and things really slowed down. I've never had a PC before I come from a Mac family and I need help! I did a bunch of scans with Norton and it said it found the problem, identified it but couldn't delete or fix it. WTF! The virus name i think is W32.Alcra.B

Help!!!!

Hey man, sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your computer. I recommend checking out this link here, it leads to the OSS forum where you might be able to get some assistance with your problems.

re: I have a *bleep*ing virus!!!

I recommend you get 'Zone Labs' antivirus and antispyware, i use it and it deletes viruses as soon as it finds them, not like norton which has difficulty deleting viruses which is useless.

Theres a 30 day free trial on their site if you want to try it. Its great!

Alternatively, try doing an online scan: http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html

It takes ages but does a good job.

re: I have a *bleep*ing virus!!!

I had Linux and never needed to format it or do anything to it. I now use windows and for Anti-Virus and Spyware get AVG Free.
