see if I can explain this.... we have our franchise team set up, we are in week 8 of the season. We had 2 QB's on the roster, starter got hurt, so when we try to start week 9, a dialogue comes up telling us our roster is short of full due to the fact we are required to carry 2 QBs.
So, we are past the 6 week trade deadline, and there are no available QBs for hire in the entire league, And, the game will not let us sub in our backup punter to fill the roster. We have no profile defind for this team


What are we missing? How to make the season progress. We can't even spawn the week. PLease help.

i think i can help you. i just had the exact same problem. what i did was go to the franchise set-up screen, hit x, the you can choose between coach set-up or team set-up (i think), choose coach set-up. scroll down until you see your coaches name. it should say human beside it. change it to cpu. you can spawn the number of games needed until your QB comes back. then go in and change your coach back to human controlled instead of cpu controlled. it worked for me. the only drawback was i lost the two games i had to have the computer play for me. however, i can now continue the franchise instead of having to start all over.

Let me get this straight. You carry only 2 QBs but have a backup punter??? Your priorities are... in the wrong place.
