Yo is there no excitement or anticipation for this game, please people let's get a discussion going! I'm also damn sure that this game is real -time...combat wise, but I've read somewhere that there might be some turn-based elements...can anyone clarify this? Thanks!

I'm definetly looking forward to this. The ship date is 6/17. I guess I will be buying it 6/18.

People have been talking about it at gamers, but I just found the forum for it here. Too bad I don't think I have any money for it unless its totally awesome better than KOTOR will be. From what I read I think its all real-time, but I probably don't know more than you, I haven't read anything about turn based.

I don't think it will be turn-based, because, from what I hear, the original Sea Dogs wasn't turn-based at all - you walked around, and had ship-to-ship combat in real time. For those that don't know, PotC is Sea Dogs II, obviously renamed. And since PotC is being made by Bethesda, the same company that brought us Morrowind, an entirely real time game, I think it's a safe bet that PotC will turn out the same way.

Someone at gamers.com said it will be delayed untill June 28th around there, since Disney wants it released closer to the movie or something.

Maybe the duels will be 2D, sidescroller (just my weird guess), all the pics I've seen are of real time, nothing turn based, so I'd be surprised if something was turnbased.

The duels will probably be 3D open enviroment too, I think.

Yeah I will definately rent this game. I haven't finished Morrowind either yet, got it last August, but I guess I wouldn't mind playing a new RPG for something new.

I cant wait for this game to come out. Morrowind is my favorite game on xbox and I expect this to be better. I heard that the game was delayed until June 24, which sucks.

EDIT: Looks like now its delayed until at least June 30.

Honestly I only found out about this game a little while ago. I knew it existed, I just never payed any attention to it. But now that I have done some research on it I want this game bad. I like the innovative things like storming other ships, buying new boats and especially going out for a nice pillage on an unsuspecting village.
I love the unique setting for Pirates of the Caribean. Who doesn't love being a pirate eh?!
Hooray PotC should be in stores in the next few days here in North America.

I can't wait now either, I think its out July 2nd someone said. They have some previews of it, some previewer mentioned he had a crew of 15 at first and now he has a crew of around 75 and can board ships with the best of them. You can get to the official page through Xbox.com.

Still a tough choice between KOTOR and POTC for me, I'll probably just rent POTC first.

Nice tribute Jakyl! Yeah it's all tough deciding on a new RPG, I still need to finish Morrowind, and getting one of these two games would probably make that near impossible...damn...I wish I didn't have to work!

you know that bethesda did not make this Seadogs or Seadogs2/POTC right? Akella is the developer, Bethesda is only the american publisher.

U guys are all stupid. The game isnt turn based, nor is it 2D battles. Everything is 3d. Its slightly like morrowind in style but at the same time very different. You cant pillage villages. But u can pillage ships.

I think Bethesda might've helped a little bit or given some advice, because in the manual it gives some of their people some credit too. They have half a page crediting Askell or who ever and the other have credits/thanks some Bethesda people. Atleast I think Bethesda might've given some input, thats just my opinion, maybe not.
