I've a feeling youve explored this area quite a bit, however I can tell you what should happen...You should talk to the old man first, then to Danielle, who will run up and grab the "pearl" or "orb" (whichever you prefer.) Then the movie will kick in and you'll head to your ship and then to fight the Black Pearl. Hope that hopes, although I doubt it.
