	usually there are some stutters when the sound is not cached. i get that occasionally moving between areas. might want to change your sound quality level

	i found that by lowering the direct x level, it helps a lot but the skipping is still there, just not as bad i lowered mine to direct x 80 direct x 70 runs really good, but it doesnt look as good like the water looks like its from half life 1 so direct x 80 is the best for performance and looks
