Hi,

I want to be able to use some cheats in Half life 2. I know I have to activate the console.

c:\program files\half-life 2\hl2.exe -console

but look what I have :

"C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch -dev -tconsole

Do I have to move everytuhing is a new folder name half-life2?

O well, here's the cheats section of HL²'s pages here at neo.
Maybe that helps.

You need to go to the steam menu > play games > right click on HL2 > properties > launch options > in the box type -console > then press ok. Now double click on HL2 via the steam menu, to bring up the cheat menu hit the key to the left of number 1, or the ~ key.

Im still having trouble figuring out what to edit to get the console to come up when you press ~. Please help.

PS: Dont worry, I already beat the game im not a helpless noob. I want the cheats to kick ass with all weapons in early levels

you have to type "a" (without the quotes and you don't have to press enter) and than you can type whatever you want.
Can anyone give me some cheats that lets me max out the gore?
