Problem...Need Help! |

I used to hav the demo of HL2 and it worked fine on high graphics....then stopped playin it 4 a while and decided to play it again few weeks later and i had sum problems...The i went out and bought the full game...and kept havin the same prob...i tried setting down to low graphics but still doesnt work....the problem is that when im walkin around and then take my fingers off the keyboard..i just keep walkin..then after a few seconds im able to control it again..but then a minute later it will do it again..whilst the game has a mind of its own i cant move the mouse, change direction or anything untill i get control again...the game used to work fine but now i keep havin this problem..my pc specs r fine and can easily run the game...any ideas on wats wrong or how i can fix it? help is much appreciated.

2.8 GHz Processor
512MB RAM Radeon 9250 video card the game used to run fine on these specs then one day it started playing up. Any ideas on how to fix my problem? Are there any patches or something? | |

Well remember Steam keeps the game up to date by itself os there arent any patches, u need more ram really ur cards ok but i recommend something a bit better if you want to use full graphics. Try reducing your graphics.

Did you buy a new keyboard and mouse since then?
Try cleaning your keyboard, if not. If so, use the old one. It's a common problem in gaming: the button may get stuck or there may be some dust underneathe it or perhaps there was even an error in transmission conflicting your keyboard and mouse. Mine does it often, but I usually find a good clean fixes it for a few months. You have the same RAM as me, sucks, doesn't it? ------------------- | |

i run hl2 on a AMD athlon xp 1600+ and nvidia geforce3 64mb and 512mb Ram and hl2 is running perfect it depends on the graphic card if it want´s you to play or not if it is a low price with high memory buy a new one^^

Grrrr...ive tried everything and nothing works...ive tried cleaning the keyboard,switching keyboard AND mouse, set it on low graphics...tried everything and nothings working:#!!
