Fast back are the way to go. I always try to draft a fast RB. The problem is how do you know if he is fast or not in the scouting combine? His numbers will go up. My Rookie RB, Moore, I renamed him Franchise, has gone up almost 10 points in his first season!

He went up 20 points? I find that hard to believe.
I drafted a HB in the 4th round, 68 overall. His speed is a 96. He actually breaks tackles. He has the "break 10 tackles in 1 game" madden challenge. He is so fast that he can find his way through a hole and break it for big yards. In training camp he gained 4 points. Now at a 72, he does break tackles but can sometimes get knocked down after the first hit. But nothing compares to his speed!

I'm telling you, speed is the way to go. I usually break 10 tackles a game with my speedy RB. The defenders usually just grab his shoulderpads and he shruggs them off. He bounces off other tacklers too. I am working on breaking the most yards in a season with him. I have 1,500 in 10 games. Marshall Faulk got the record controlled by the CPU so its now around 2,300 yards.

No they are not real college players. Their names are made up and attributes too.

re: ROOKIES |
quote SmilezDavisWell for you information, I play on All-Pro, I do break 10 tackles a game, and speed can increase on a player progression. My RB Spoto, has increased significantly in hie first year. Check this out!!! ![]()

re: ROOKIES |
quote rock5505Hey I don't care that he is shooting up, as long as he produces. I don't have a zero tolerance rule, haha. Yeah that was his first year in the league. Now you can imagine him breaking 10 tackles per game! I actually go for the break 10 tackles in a game all the time. Its pretty easy with the stiff arm. I am playing my 9th game of the season and I simulated the rest of the games. Spoto went up another speed point. So you can increase in speed!

re: ROOKIES |
quote RhetoricalIs an awesome starting back in this game. I had him until I could draft someone faster. Got him cheap also. I think I traded Curtis Martin for a #1 pick and MaGahee. It lowered my payroll and got a faster back.

No there is not a way to see how he player progression goes up during the season. You can tell by the kind of year you are having if at the end of the year if he will go up or down, but you cannot tell what exact stats go up.
