I agree
But is it me or is Detroit having a great draft, man o man you need weapons on offense. You go n get Roy Williams n Kevin Jones. Then you go n get Dansby, great moves on draft day for the Lions. My Boy Travis Laboy 2nd round pick to the Titans, I am very happy he went so soon. Hopefully Issac Sopoaga gets picked up somewhere in this round.

Why exactly did the Cowboys trade their pick to the Bills? I missed it....
Anyways, I'm very pleased with the Vikings draft so far. We were able to get another pick and still get one of the two players we wanted in the first round in Kenechi Udeze. Although I would've loved to see the Vikings trade up and snatch Williams, or trade up in the second and snatch up Dansby or Lehman. We did end up drafting an OLB from Auburn, Dontarrius Thomas, anyone got anything on this kid? Because I don't... -------------------

he had a pretty good career at auburn. he began as an OLB for them, but they moved him inside for his senior year. (6-2 5/8, 244) ran his 40s in 4.54 and 4.58. He added a 39-inch vertical and a 7.39 in the three-cone drill.

Dallas liked Jones n had alot of holes to fill.
What the hell are the Raiders doing, we signed alot of freakin lineman, why the hell are we drafting more? Take a LB or a reciever. they better trade up n get Keary Colbert or I am going to be pissed.

Well, I just realized why the 'Boys traded their pick.
They got next years 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th or something like that, I'm not so sure about the 4th rounder, from the Bills. That's quite a package. Anyways, I'm rather impressed by Thomas, and rather pleased with the selection. Wow... Antwan Odom fell pretty far into the draft. He fell to the 57th pick, which surprises me since he was once a projected first rounder. What do you guys think the most surprising first round pick was? I'm personally most surprised by the Chris Perry selection by Cincy, especially since they said that he was their guy. Although I'm also surprised by Denver taking D.J. Williams rather than Steven Jackson, since they kept on saying how much they were in love with Steven Jackson. -------------------

i'm most surprised by chris perry going to cincy. i was sure they would go defensive with their 1st pick. i also never expected perry to go before kevin jones. by the way, i'm with you LCH. the raiders need to grab 1 of those receivers that is still around. i'm hoping for p.k. sam or devard darling myself. i also hope they're able to get cedric cobbs. i like fargas, but i don't think he's capable of carrying the entire load -- not now anyway.

Bah. Very funny. Gallery sure punked Holliday's ass in that pic tho....
Actually, Im pretty happy with the pick the Chiefs made. We currently have no D-lineman that is the size of Junior Siavii. 6'4 and 340 pounds. There is NOONE on our defensive roster that is as big as this guy. This guy could turn out to be the big man in the middle that our line needs in order to help us stop the run. Someone to draw double teams, or to just be a big roadblock that backs have to go around, giving other linemen and linebackers time to converge. Our line as it was, was really more suited as a pass rushing line, but with a horrid scheme. Most of our guys are right at, or under the 300 pound mark, because Vermiel is notorious for liking the smaller, faster defensive linemen. With the way the league is now though, you have to have a couple big guys on the line, or else youre just going to be moved out of the way play after play. Vermiel has never liked guys that are huge like this guy, wanting to stay under the 300 pound mark, but Vermiel says that Siavii is not a fat guy, he moves very well for his size, and has 35" arms, so if an O-lineman tries to jam him, he's really going to have to reach in order to do it. He is 340 pounds, or thereabout, and his weight doesnt fluctuate like that of a guy like, say, Shawn Andrews. Also, the fact that he has done very little weight training gives him a big upside. Once Vermiel has him hitting the weight room with the rest of the guys, he could really become a force for us in a year or two. I like this move. Gunther Cunningham likes the big defensive guys, and maybe Junior wont be shoved out of the way as easily as Browning or Sims have been in the past couple seasons. Lynn Stiles said that Junior is like a bigger version of former Chiefs DT Dan Saleamua. Thats a pretty bold statement right there, Saleamua was awesome for us in the 90's when Schottenheimer ran the ship around here. Chiefs fans could only hope he turns out as good. I dont mind this pick, because he is something that we really dont have, a big presence up front. He's the biggest guy on the defensive roster right now, and a legitimate player to help us shore up that run defense. I have a feeling that during mini-camps and pre-season, Gunther is going to be doing a lot of housecleaning, and several of these D-linemen that we currently have on the roster will not be here once the reg. season starts. Junior Siavii has had some stamina problems in the past, but KC rotates their D-linemen regularly anyway, so this really should not be a problem for us while Vermiel works him into NFL shape. I was kinda hoping for Michael Jenkins, but Atlanta jumped in there and snagged him. Also in interviews with the Chiefs, they say that even if they had stayed at #30, they still would have taken Junior there. With the deal that they made, the Chiefs now have 4 picks in the first 105 players drafted. So we have a good chance at making some great moves for this team.

Does anyone besides me find it stupid the Bills traded more draft pick value for Losman than the Giants traded for Eli? I'm high on losman....but i didn't mean give away those high picks.
I like Evans...i think we got em so they can turn him into a Hines Ward. Wished we could have traded down because he would have been there later. So far, IMO the Lions have had the best draft. Heh...as I type the Chiefs select a TE...Kris Wilson...watch out Tony ------------------- http://www.abbygennet.com or http://www.slunt.net For your Abby Gennet viewing pleasure

P.K Sam is nice but I really like Keary Colbert in the 3rd round. or a LB like Demarrio Williams to help bolster the LB corp's. Micheal Boulware would have been a great tweener.
O well there goes Keary Peersonally I am not liking this draft the 2nd rounder was a waste IMO, we have so many other needs Safety, LB, WR.

I really like Jake Grove, he was one of the most consistent centers in the NCAA last year. Although you may not need a center now, he'll be an awesome pick up for the future.
I'm overall pleased with the moves the Vikings have made, they've done exactly what they needed to do and upgraded their run defense, by getting the quick linebacker in Thomas, and the true threat at the end in Udeze, hopefully he'll be able to stop people from killing us on the sweep. I also like San Diego's pick up of Nate Kaeding. They really needed a kicker badly, and since they had two third round picks, they picked up Kaeding, the best kicker in the draft. -------------------

Grove is a nice center but this team is built to win now and needs guys that we can just plug in and play. We picked up a free safety in Stuart, we better get a WR n Backer in the next few roundsw. Unless the office expects Mike Williams to go to the Supplimental draft n taking our chnces there.
