I have never played this game, but it does look interesting.

I was planning on buying Killzone: Liberation for the PSP, but maybe I should get this one first...

Is this game old? If not, how much does it cost now?

EDIT: I know there was another thread about this on the first page, but it looks rather dated. Any help would be appreciated. ^___^

It is rather old now, so you could probably bag it second-hand for less than £9.99 on Ebay or just at any Game store. As far as value and gameplay is concerned, it leaves a lot to be desired, but is still probably one of the best FPS' on PS2 at the moment. Its online mode is great once you get it up and running, the storyline is pretty good, and it's not a short game as they go. There's a bunch of weapons to use, and hard mode can actually be described as hard.
But you can't drive any vehicles, there's a few glitches in it, and some of the deaths are just plain glitched. The physics engine is practically non-existant either, apart from when it comes to grenades fired from battle pistols.
But yeah, go for it. I think it's a good game, in all.

I would have to agree with the post ahead of mine. It is an old game, but it sure doesn't get old. The weapons on this game are just so fun to play with. I like the beachhead level. Its so fun sniping out the enemy.

i reckon u should get it. it's pretty darn good even though the PS3 version looks about 100 times better and it is pretty cheap now. i live australia and i got it less than $20. i don't know much about the psp version but i think the story continues on from the PS2 game so at least if u get it u'll know the story so far when and if u get the psp one.

Anyways, this game is very nice I had more fun playing this game single player than I had playing Halo single player.

The grenade system is awesome too.

It's a great game

I got it for €15. And it is worth it. I have to say, i would have bought this when it was a new game, if it wasn't for the bad reviews, now that i've played it.
And the wide-screen mode is a great thing to have in these games.

Killzone is a great addition to your game collection, along with Black. Best played with a good sound system, to really scare your neighbors.

The Helghast are quite intimidating bunch.

Killzone: Liberation seems interesting, too.
It's not an FPS game, but it seems to be something like a tactical strategy game, like Commandos, with a top-down view.

i was in EB games, saw killzone and thought: well this looks interesting. lol

this game is great,finished it 2 times over,Great online to. Offline modes are nice aswell.

Definitely great, fun, like the levels, they look good!

Awesome game. I got it for $20 at Target. Did they ever give it a greatest hits box, or do they still have that stupid sticker?

Well i have had the game for a little while and decided to play it last night. Damn, this has to be the best shooter on PS2, barring Black. The guns are excellent and the team with you are great!

I have had this game for one and a half years and is my favorite game next to DMC 3
The best multi map is southern hills at least in my opinion....sniper towers kicks ass

i have had this game for a long time and yeagh it is awsome i also bought liberation for the psp recently its pretty good although i think it would be awsome if it wernt an overhead view it pretty much continues the story with a new general-metrac and im on a mission where im fighting him and its hard iv tried so many times lol and they also have rico hostage i liked his chain gun in the original killzone but in liberation you can get them with unlimited ammo! the only problem is it gets overheated there are also lots of cool things on it like jetpacks where you get a basic assault rifle with unlim ammo with that nad flamethrowers and one of my fav`s a crossbow that fires grenade tippd arrows!1 thats awsom
