One of my sims loves to nap in his spare time. When he is not doing that he plays pool. My other sim will stand around waiting for me to give some instructions.

Well I cheat really I use the maxmotives cheat!!! I either build up children's skills, homework, make teenagers fall in love. Make the family bigger.

Build Skills, usual stuff or whatever their natural talent is. (Sometimes other hobbies.)

Mine either do whatever they want or whatever I want them to do which is either chores or what they want to do.
Basically, either they run wild, do chores, or I fulfill their wants. And surprisingly no, my sims aren't dead of neglect yet! xD

Mine either look through the telescope, read or play sxx on the computer.

I try to get them to do something constructive but, on their own shy sims will write in a diary, some sims will look through the telescope, but mostly they all just go relax in their beds. Or if they are very interested in a hobbie they will do something related to that hobbie.

Oh I forgot sometimes, rarely, my sims relax.

Mine mainly build skills, sometimes go on outings, and dates. Teen sims see they're bfs/gfs and maintain the relationship. Elders play with the children, and build hobby enthusiasum.

Skill build manily for there jobs, or just useful things like cooking and cleaning, some practice hobbys instead

First I get all of their motives as high as possiuble, then I set them doing something constructive. This is often skill building but can also be making friends or maintaining friendships, if they drop below 60 I make sure I raise it before it reaches below 50.

If a sim is adult and single I may work at finding them a partner.

what spare time?

my sims barely everr have time to themselves because they always have kids. the one im playing with now has 2 children a toddler and the girl recently gave birth to twins baby boys........she is now pregnant again poor parents

but the little time that my sims do have they work on skills and stuff

MY sims usually cheat on each other.... sneak out...throw parties...put bags of flaming poo on each others doorsteps... you name it. My crazy sims have done it.
