Can you transfer data from your current Sims 2 Game to a different computer?

Ok, so I may get another computer, but I'm not really up to creating the whole neighborhood again. Can I transfer the information to the new computer when I install TS2 on it?

TS2 and TS3 are two different games. Saved files from TS2 will NOT work on TS3.

OOps, really sorry, I meant Sims 2, not sims 3. I want to put my neighborhood on the new computer. That's it. sorry for the confusion. I know they're different games, it's extremely obvious considering The new ways of TS3, such as the fact that you may only control one Sim family, if I'm correct, on this new Sims game.

re: Can you transfer data from your current Sims 2 Game to a different computer?

You can. You have to put the file 'The Sims' from My Computer/[yourusername]/EA Games into an e-mail, and basically e-mail yourself.

OR You can use a USB, if your computer has a port, Their normally 10$ in WalMart or some similar shop.

But if you dont wanna buy something to transfer data, Just use the e-mail trick.

If you use the e-mail thing, Try to compress all your files into a .rar or a .zip so it will be more organized.

When you do get the files onto the other computer, Install the Sims and Replace the file 'The Sims' on your new computer with 'The Sims' file you transferred.

I Hope that wasn't too confusing. I'm kinda tired.
