Careers in University

I was just wondering, do Sims need to go to college to get into the new careers found in University? I've been trying with several of my (non-educated) Sims, and all I EVER find in the newspapers and computer are the jobs from the original Sims 2. It's really irritating, because I'd love to try out some of the new careers. Can anybody help me out?

re: Careers in University

This really needs to be in the Sims 2: University Forum next time.

From my experience in the Sims 2: Uni, no you don't have to have a sim that has gone to uni to get the new careers.

re: Careers in University

Supposedly a sim is meant to have gone to University to get one of the new careers (Natural Science, Artist, Paranormal, Show Biz) and the jobs are only supposed to show up for graduated sims.

re: Careers in University

I've seen so many threads referring to expansion packs in this forum that I didn't think posting here would be a problem.

So, those careers really are for the graduates only? That sucks. I knew graduating would give my Sims an advantage in certain fields according to their major, but I thought that at least those fields would be open to non-graduates as well. I really wanted my older Sims to have new jobs...

Anyway, thanks, guys.
