Well, you see...I'm not sure how far "remake" goes. I wasn't expecting them to redo everything including enemy AI, just the basic suff. But that's awesome then, no negativity after all!

Come on Pete! LOL! Of course that means they have to redo the AI. With this game they basically have to start over from scratch when creating the environments and characters, since this is a GC game. I mean they know what everything is gonna look like, so that's taken care of, but they basically have to just start over as far as creating the characters and their AI goes. So this game won't be easier, if anything it'll be harder! lol!

Yeah, because of the greatly added advantage of FP in MGS1 i'm sure they'll add more things that would make it much less easy. Such as like when you're above the people in the Tank Hanger, they'll probably add patrolling guards up on the catwalk and more camera's as well, this game is gonna be great

It better be great because its the reason I'm buying a GC ------------------- "In this country, first you have to make the money,

Well I say that's a good reason to buy GameCube, and their is more to GC than just MGS you know.

What's ironic about my situation is...I originally bought my PS2 soley for MGS2, and now I bought a GCN exclusively for another MGS game, The Twin Snakes.

Yeah but there are plenty of other reasons to own a GameCube. I see the GC as a very stable platform. It has many mature adult oriented games despite it's always being viewed as a console for kiddies. Anyways like Cobra2 said there really is no possible way to screw this up. The only thing i could see going wrong are maybe glitches but it's not like they're using the PS2 writing of MGS2 on the GC, so since they write it from scratch i see this as a sure fire hit

Oh it'll be great! It will be literally impossible for any game sites to give this game a bad review.

I don't know, some of these critics always seem to find fault in games. They'll either say something like "oh the controls are bad, and the story is wacky" or "oh this is just a remake, prooving that Konami is desperate for money" or some asinine thing like that. Of course I sure this will get great reviews, and I know this game will be excellent. I am confident that this game will be the best game on GameCube.

This is what i have to say, as long as Konami doesn't decide to use some crazy button to activate FPS we're pretty much fine.
Here's how i think they could do the controls... R Button (Top Right Shoulder Button [Big Grey One]: Used for slowly toggling Weapons. L Button (Top Left Shoulder Button [Big Grey One]: Used for slowly toggling Items. Z Button: Used for First Person Mode. Two modes to choose from in options. Because of how small this button is i could see this as a problem. One option could be that you would have to hold down the button for FP. The Second option could be to just press it and toggle FP and then press it again to get out. That would solve the problem of holding down the small button but we'd get used to it. X Button: Used as the quick change Weapon, either previously used weapon, or unequip weapon all together. Y Button: Used to quick change Items. A Button: Shoot (Duh) B button: 2 uses. Activate elevator switches stuff like that when in close proximity. Also used for cartwheels and stuff which they'll probably add in MGS1 along with the standard crouch and crawl using B as well. So in other words the control is pretty flawless... I really don't care if they give it a bad review i mean i'll still play this game!! It's gonna be sweet!! That could work but then i just heard about the shoulder buttons functioning as 2 so that is a great thing... anyways... They have to add some of those FHM posters don't you think? AHa isn't that the one in the thong? *drools*
I loved how that MGS2 had lots of humour amongst all of the serious story and everything. I hope they add all of the humour from the original MGS in Twin Snakes. Such as Meryl in her skivies

quote Alias353LOL, that's the one Alias! That's what makes MGS a very unique series, and IMO, better than other games in it's genre, is it's ability to mix humor with an obviously serious game. I like this, but only as long as it happens during the game, not in cut-scenes. Just something that will make you chuckle to yourself. -------------------

Yes if it were part of a cutscene it would make it feel staged or... well fake if you know what i mean. Otherwise the humour seems obvlivious to anything else actually pertaining to the games story or gameplay itself... if you know what i mean
