Hi, I was planning on buying this game but I'm not a big fan of the MGS franchise...is this a good game or will I be confused by the plot since I never played it? Reply ASAP, thanks.

Ehh... if you don't like the MGS franchise then obviously you won't like this... it's basically just a remake of the first one...

Well I never played MGS so I don't know if I like it or not.

Anyhoo, it's not important. All I can say is... this is probably the single most famous game on the Playstation One, and now they have remade it with the MGS2 graphics engine. And if the move between Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil Remake is anything to judge how MGS1 and MGS:Twin Snakes will compare, then all I can say is this game is going to own!

It's pretty much a action/strategy game. If that's not your thing then just rent it when it comes out. You could easily finish it within a week...

I was never a really big fan until I played it, and have been prisoner of such a great franchise ever since. I very much reccomend you try it though, and not skip it all together.

Well, if you never played the MGS games before, then you have to play this. And don't worry about the plot, because this is a remake of the first MGS game, and even though MGS1 wasn't the first game in the Metal Gear series, MGS1 made a lot of sense for people who had never played the Metal Gear series before. Metal Gear Solid 1 on the PS1 was basically a renewal of the series for new fans.

And even though this is considered a 'stealth' game, it can easily be played using lots of action. I highly suggest that you at least play this game when it comes out.

MGS is has always and has been the best game in the series. To play the first is to play the best, every single plot that comes into Sons of Liberty always comes back to this game...besides the old MG games (Which I never played..)

Metal Gear Solid, is by all time my favorite game, for the action, the plot, the drama, and the suspense this game brings! Missing out on this game is far too much to bare...

By plot means, you're not missing much at all...So don't worry yourself, and definately play this game.

I will tell you this, I have always been a huge fan of MGS (hence my name) anyway if you played the first MGS and liked it you wlll really really really love this one as you get MGS1 story plot and MGS2 game play.
